Vans and Neckface Collaborate on a Unique Pair of AV Sk8 LosBy SneakerFreak on November 12th, 2007 | No Comments
A combination of top notch leather and canvas provide a venue for NYC artistic genius Neckface to demonstrate how one can turn a standard skater shoe into a piece of art. The collaboration between Neckface and Vans is familiar to Vans fans that have seen the skate shoe company develop a relationship with the art world.
The earthy tones of the leather mesh well with the off-white canvas featuring a unique design by the artist. The amorphous green and brown character represented on the exterior of both shoes will make people look twice as you walk past on the street. These shoes will likely hit before the end of 2007 but keep an eye on your local Vans retailer to get more details on these limited edition sneakers. If you don’t get your hands on these high end shoes, stay tuned for updates on future artistic collaborations on the
Vans website. View More Photos/Info -
Nike Womens Air Force 1 Charles Barkley – Red/Gold/BlackBy SneakerFreak on November 12th, 2007 | No Comments
The original Air Force 1 was created in 1982 and as we celebrate the 25th Anniversary the year, we will continue to see more versions of this high quality shoe be released
Another colorway in Air Force 1 Charles Barkley Team pack, this red/gold/black edition for women is very eye-catching. It seems that everyday we see one or two more colorways in the Charles Barkley shoes rolling out.
So far, this is one my favorites for women. The red and gold look great together and the black makes for a nice contrast. I really like how the black laces look going into the gold.
You can get these shoes right now at Sideline Apparel for $75.
Reebok x Maeda TimetaniumBy SneakerFreak on November 12th, 2007 | No CommentsReebok has teamed up with
John Maeda, the world-renowned artist and graphic designer, specializing in digital media. Maeda is also currently a professor at MIT and considered a true pioneer in the world of motion graphics. The creation of Reebok and John Maeda’s custom shoe, The Timetanium, is one of the first times that Maeda’s graphics have taken a 3-dimensional form.
The graphics of these shoes were created through Maeda’s original mathematic algorithms and computer codes.
The shoe features unique styling and a variety of colors, including grey, green and orange. One of the interesting features is the handwritten code printed inside the shoe. It’s the code that generated the graphic design of the shoe.
The Reebok Timetanium will be available exclusively on
ltd.rbkcustom.com, Reebok’s limited edition customization website beginning tomorrow, November 13th. If you want these shoes, keep in mind they are extremely limited – only 100 pieces will be available.
