Converse has recently released a set of canvas and leather shoes honoring former badminton phenomenon and shoe designer Jack Purcell. Purcell dazzled the world on the badminton court and has helped outfit thousands of badminton players with his designs since the 1930s. You can relive the brilliance of Purcell’s designs through the new Converse Jack Purcells.

These casual shoes are offered in two colorways with my favorite shown above. The standard brown/white colorway features white mesh framed with dark brown leather. This offering has the high quality construction of high end Converse shoes and maintains the simplicity of the brand name.

I love the light brown/green colorway at the top of this entry because I am sure it will stand up to the test of time. The brown/white option may seem like a good fit for almost any outfit but I love the olive green color used by Converse. I can’t imagine that the white will hold up well in rain, sleet and snow.
