Though we have been seeing previews and leaks for sometime now, on Tuesday the Jordan Brand officially unveiled the Air Jordan XX3, the highly anticipated 23rd iteration of the world’s most respected and innovative basketball shoe. The Air Jordan XX3 celebrates 23 years of a legacy started by the most revered basketball athlete in history … Michael Jordan.

“The Air Jordan XX3 is deeply meaningful to me, as a celebration of both my life and career. The number 23 is obviously of great significance to me and the release of the XX3 is a pinnacle moment in the Brand’s history,” said Michael Jordan. “I’m honored and humbled by the Air Jordan franchise’s loyal following after all these years. The release of this shoe is exciting and a dream come true for me.”

On hand were legendary designer Tinker Hatfield, Jordan Footwear Director Gentry Humphrey, Jordan Brand Manager Roman Vega and Nike’s VP of Corporate Responsibility Hannah Jones.

Admiral is a traditional British footwear brand. It has been made popular in Japan since efforts were intensive towards marketing it. The web store, Chapterworld, keeps stocks of the Admiral’s latest model, called the Watford. Each pair sells for 8,190 Japanese Yen. The Watford shows the characteristic trait of having the low top sneaker.

There have been thousands of artists, designers and writers who have eulogized Tupac Shakur since his death in 1996. PimpMyKicks has created a pair of Nikes that take the memory of Tupac to an entirely different level. The picture above is the left shoe which has every lyric to the rapper’s “Me Against the World,” an anthem for troubled people around the world. The designer used every bit of his skill to recreate a notebook page with the lyrics on the outer part of the shoe.

A custom sneaker would not be complete without an image of Tupac. There is a picture of the right shoe below which features an accurate black-and-white depiction of the legendary rapper.  Any rap fan worth his salt would check out PimpMyKicks today to get their hands on a pair of Tupac-inspired Nikes. Available over at Overkill, this Nike Dunk High offers a nice retro look with a subtle colorway. The two main colors are black and white, including the laces which are also black.

A unique part of the shoe is the cracked leather look on the sides that give these kicks a rugged feel. Coming over on top of the cracked leather is a grey Nike swoosh. That same grey color is used around the base of the shoe.
