Supra Skytop ComakaziBy SneakerFreak on January 23rd, 2008 | No Comments
Supra is releasing a new pair of Skytops called the Comakazi for skateboarder Chad Muska, one of the stable of boarders represented by the brand. The Comakazi is designed for performance out on the half-pipe with extra padding in the sole for hard landings. The company injected its own SupraFoam into the midsole to combine flexibility with cushioning for every jump during an important meet.
In praising the Comakazi’s functionality, I have overlooked the style of these new Supra skateboarding shoes. The combination of red, black and white offers an understated look for a well-designed shoe. A touch of zebra patterning on the heel and eyelets gives the Comakazi a bit of edge.
The reason why Supra is able to pull off this high top is the high quality materials used in its construction. Wax laces, a gum rubber outsole and the aforementioned SupraFoam can help you up your performance. I have mentioned my distaste for certain high-top sneakers in recent posts but these hit me just right. View More Photos/Info

Puma Poison Dart Frog ClydesBy SneakerFreak on January 23rd, 2008 | No CommentsPuma would release the new Poison Dart Frog Clyde pack soon. This pack was inspired by theAmazon frog. There are 3 in this pack. The date of release is from Feb. 29, 2008. Please check the Puma website.
The poison dart frog is native to Central and South America. There are 175 species of the poison frog. The brightly colored frogs are usually not poisonous. Their colors and characteristics are copied for these Puma shoes. Some species of these frogs can morph and change their standard skin color. The changing trait sometimes involve the frog assuming one color and letting that color take over its entire skin, as shown in the picture. This trait is copied in the toe box and tongue of the shoe. For instance in the first pair, the toe box and tongue are in metallic red. Parts of the shoe are rough in textured leather. This also reflects on the usual characteristics of the frog which has rough skin in some areas.
The soles of these shoes hint that they are meant for casual View More Photos/Info
