Puma Argentina “African Cup Of Nations” Pack – 4 colorsBy SneakerFreak on February 27th, 2008 | No CommentsPuma has designed this new pack to support its love for African football. This pack celebrates its collaboration by its name, “African Cup of Nations Pack.” Each pair of sneaker costs about £55 and they are available at ryouki.
Many Africans have travelled to the city where Ohene Djan Stadium is in Accra, Ghana. Even people outside Africa have seen how much culture African football has revived. The colorful display has African Ethnic music and arts brought into the football scene. The African Nations flags have the same basic colors of green, yellow and red. Some of the African countries have an extra symbol on the flag. The shoe with the red and green stripes and a yellow star in the center is supposed to be Burkina Faso, but this artistic representation is not the real thing. The official information said that these shoes represent Cameroon, Ghana, Ivory Coast and Senegal.

Air Jordan I – Opening Day PackBy SneakerFreak on February 27th, 2008 | No CommentsThis shoe commemorates Michael Jordan’s playing days on the baseball diamond rather than the basketball court. When MJ retired from the NBA for the first time, he ended up playing baseball for the Chicago White Sox before being moved down to the minor leages.
The Air Jordan I – Opening Day Pack celebrates his days with the White Sox and their minor league affiliate Birmingham Barons with these shoes inspired by their jerseys. Though the home white version is sweet, I’m partial to black shoes. So the away version pictured above would be my choice.
Expect these sneakers to be released on March 29th. The shoes, which retail for $100 a pair, will release along with matching T-shirts and caps. Via

MESS in Beijing just received this Adidas Top Ten Lo Glow in the Dark Pack, which features both the canary yellow and periwinkle colorways. When you give them a closer look, you’ll see debossed images that will glow in the dark. These shoes are simple. The allover colored uppers are accented with a white midsole and black and white trim. No word if these shoes will eventually head to the States.Via

Puma Basket 70s Honor the Seattle SuperSonicsBy SneakerFreak on February 26th, 2008 | 1 CommentThe Seattle Super Sonics were one of the most interesting teams in the NBA during the 1970s. Players like Lenny Wilkins, Spencer Haywood and Walt Hazzard were led by coaching luminaries like Al Bianchi and Bill Russell.
Puma has decided to honor some of the great NBA teams of the 1970s with a series called the Basket 70s.My colleague
Kori wrote about the first installment in this Puma series earlier in the month. The Seattle versions of these skate shoes use a yellow streak running from the outsole around the heel to the other side. A green sole and laces complete the Sonics motif for fans of the 1979 championship team. The obligatory Seattle skyline with the Space Needle is painted on the heel to complete this homage to 1970s basketball.I love the Sonics version more than the Knicks version simply for the colorway. I like the yellow/green colorway as well as the silhouetted skyline on the heel though New York’s skyline is View More Photos/Info
