Nike commemorated the closing of the Olympics 2008 with a shoe called Nike Air Force 1 “Closing Ceremonies”. The price is rather steep at $888. The graphic is laser etched over the shoe upper.The sneaker is housed in a special box featuring the significant date, 080808, and this shoe will be released on August 25.
The entire shoe upper is gold colored. The toe box has vertical columns of perforations. The mudguard surrounds the toe box and has the laser etchings of curved lines. I like the progression of the shoe’s color and design elements as you move from the toe to the middle panel. The middle panel is a mural of gray, white and black lines that look like they lept off the canvas of an abstract painting. SekureD switched from light to dark purple for the rear panel as well as the shoe laces to complete the evolution of the Myst Dunk Lows.
