LeBron James wasn’t the only one who debuted his new signature shoe at the Olympics. If you played close attention to the Gold Medal game, you would have noticed Carmelo’s halftime wardrobe change. For most of the games he wore the Melo M4 but decided to give the world a sneak peak. Timing couldn’t have been any better.
The Melo M5 was designed by Footwear Design Director of Brand Jordan D’Wayne Edwards, which helps explain its similarities to the Jordan signature line. The same style side panel and exterior stitching like we saw on the Air Jordan XX3 as well as a ribbed plastic piece at the heel similar to the Air Jordan XIV.
