  • Freddy Krueger Air Force One Mids
By on October 11th, 2008 | No Comments Comments

A young designer with the nickname brooklynnyc3000 showed these Freddy Krueger customs at the Nike Talk post linked here. If you are unfamiliar with the Nightmare on Elm Street franchise of horror films, you may not know about the horrible visage of Freddy Krueger. This character’s place in the horror world was secured two decades ago but the designer digs deeper to bring Freddy Krueger back from the past.

These Nike Air Force One Mids showcase elements of Krueger’s face, shirt and clawed hands. You can see the mixture of blood and flesh on the toe box that makes up Freddy’s grizzled face. The designer added green and red stripes behind the swoosh to symbolize the villain’s signature shirt. Horror fans should enjoy the splatters of blood and nailed boards that set a dark tone throughout the rest of the shoe.

Rockstar Games and Jordan Brand celebrate their digital partnership with a limited-edition sneaker inspired by the soon to be released Midnight Club: Los Angeles and Los Angeles street racing culture. Taking their inspiration from the classic Air Jordan II released in 1987, the Jordan Classic 87 sneakers are a custom design for Rockstar Games styled in red and black with the official Midnight Club Kanji symbol emblazoned in red on the tongue. Translated, Kanji means Bayshore – the location on the Japanese coast where street racing started. Formed in 1985, the original Midnight Club was a Japanese street racing gang that hosted illegal races on the Bayshore Route of the Shuto Expressway between Tokyo to Yokohama. Regarded as one of the longest running street racing gangs, the Midnight Club became one of the most notorious and highly respected groups of its type.

The sneakers come in a custom-made etched acrylic collector’s box with a copy of Midnight Club: Los Angeles and together are valued at View More Photos/Info
