Here is a look at the latest Nike SB sample to surface. According to RIF, these were inspired by Mint Chocolate Chip ice cream. They were originally set to release fall 07 but were scrapped for an un-known reason. Besides the cool shade of green the suede and premium (pebbled) leather are the moneymakers. The toe box/toe cap area, back flaps, and midsole are black trimmed with mint green stitching. The swoosh is black as well but is not trimmed in another color. While the side panels and eye stays are brightly colored mint green. It looks like they won’t ever see production but you can grab this pair for 2,500 at RIF LA. Only 2 pairs in the whole world!

Vans and HUF have linked up yet again to create another brilliant collab. For this mash up, they decided to use the SK8 HI. Each SK8 HI is covered completely in soft silky satin, they are available in four fabulous possibly vandal inspired colorways, red and gold, black and gold, silver and red, and blue and silver. Today is Harwood Classic night in the NBA and you should have guessed Lebron was going to wear something special to commemerate the event as the Cavs take on the Knicks.These special edition VI’s made to match their 1970-ish uniforms, are white patent leather, yellow and red. I highlighted a pair of basketball-themed Air Force Ones (linked here) made by Ripp a few weeks ago. His client Day wanted a similar pair of Air Force Ones for his two-year old son. The result is another great pair of customs that look slightly different from the originals.

Ripp decided to make the wood grain on the B-Ball Junior Air Force Ones a deeper brown than the originals. With the exception of this color choice, the designer replicated the white nets, black basketball and detailed grain on the toe box found on the original.

Ripp stated that the Juniors took five days to complete, showing that his handiwork and attention to detail are refined enough to get a project done quickly. Lightning struck twice for Ripp’s B-Ball Air Force Ones and you can get your own customs by contacting the designer at [email protected].

Nike has worked on the Dunk model to make it be more suitable for a woman’s foot. Though you will notice nothing different in the shape on the outside, the shoe feels lighter weight and less bulky.

For the launch of the Nike WMNS Skinny Dunk, Nike took inspiration from 19th century French designer Paule Marrot and used the cherry print on these two colorways.

One vibrant blue and the other more neutral, the cherries sneakers are sure to be a hit among the ladies. Via Freshness.
