If you want to add a unique pair of Pumas to your collection, take a look at the Puma Fall 2009 First Round pack. Using the First Round model, it looks like Sunkist and 7 Up sodas are the two inspirations for these shoes due to the color combinations that are used.

    Almond x New Balance 1500

New Balance really went to work in this collaboration with Almond to produce a colorful yet not overwhelming shoe. Although they used the New Balance 1500 model, it’s the colors that really stand out. It’s not known if or when these sneakers will hit stores in the United States but expect them to be ¥27,300 (Approx. $302 USD).

Both suede and leather are combined to add a bit of texture to the colors, and these sneakers have a white midsole and gum outsole. These shoes aren’t for everyone but if you want to liven up your look, they are a good option. Via Hypebeast. View More Photos/Info

This is the Nike Sportswear Cortez Brothers Pack. This is a twin pack of shoes. It comes with toys that represent Phil and Bill from the tokyoplastic animated film that follows this release of shoes. Phil and Bill represent the company’s co-founders. The toys have different looks and personalities. This pack has two versions of the Cortez sneakers. There is a classic Cortez and a newer version called the Flymotion Cortez. The shoes are sold in pairs that are packed in a special double box. This Cortez pack will be released on Feb.14.

The Nike Sportswear Cortez Classic is in navy blue. The toe box is protected by a panel of dark blue leather that continues up to take in the shoe lacing. The back of the heel has another one of these dark blue leather panels. The large white Nike swoosh is a bright feature.

The Nike Sportswear Cortez Flymotion version has a white colorway. The midsection has “fly wires” and a large black Nike swoosh. The View More Photos/Info

  • Geisha Stan Smith II

Sole Brother Customs was asked by a girlfriend for some custom Stan Smiths based on 17th-century Japanese woodcut printing to give to her boyfriend. The Geisha Stan Smith IIs feature an orange/yellow colorway that is employed creatively to showcase a playful geisha on each shoe. You can check out additional information on the Geisha Stan Smith II at the Sole Brother website linked here.

The bright orange cuts across the toe box and emerges again on the heel tag. The backdrop for the heel and middle panel is a subdued yellow hue that breaks when we gaze upon the geisha. The geisha has written the Japanese figure for love as well as the names of the boyfriend and girlfriend on a white background.

My favorite part of the Geisha Stan Smiths is the blooming tree branches that extend outward from the heel and eyelets. The orange flowers look great against the soft yellow background and must have taken a long time to complete. Even though I don’t know the couple in question, it looks like Sole Brother has captured the View More Photos/Info
