  • Vans Vault Aion LX
By on March 18th, 2009 | No Comments Comments

Aion means eternity, and the liveliness and quality of Vans Vault Aion LX touches eternity with this classic design. Though the lines, contours and colorways are conventional and modest, the refreshing manner in which the designers of Vans bring this item to life makes us suspect that they have found the fountain of youth without anyone noticing.

The toe is crafted from leather or suede, and the rest of the upper is of textile. The most interesting fea1ture of the design is the tonal chefckerboard pattern of the chocolate suede version. The gentle touch of this interesting detail gives the shoe an air of classiness and elegance that is not easy to match.

New models come and go, and the fad and hype of an extravagant design, however striking in its day, will surely fade with the passage of time. In these carefully crafted shoes Vans has brought life to a classical idea that has survived through generations. If you look for this kind of genuine endurance, the Vans Vault Aion LX is for you. Photos via Sneakernews.com

  • Air Jordan Force IX Low – White – Midnight Navy
By on March 18th, 2009 | No Comments Comments

There’s something poetic about the name of this Nike Air Jordan, but there’s a lot more about it that’s just plain fantastic. We will be made to wait in anticipation until Nike comes with the release info, but from what can be observed, this will be a worthwhile wait.

The design is, above all, fluid and beautiful. Like the effortless and natural way the artist’s brush moves on the canvas, the designers of Nike were able to work out a composed, and yet at the same time dynamic creation with relatively simple tools. The color choices are not flashy or extravagant, but the way they have been executed has the potential to leave us bewildered at the talents of its creators.

This is  a statement of style and ingenuity. It’s more than the usual Nike, in that, apart from the strength and solidity of its design, it is a work of art. Those who seek creativity and intelligence from their designers  are invited to get this one as fast as they can.

  • Waynes World 2 Air Force Ones
By on March 18th, 2009 | No Comments Comments

Ripp customized a pair of Nike Air Force Ones awhile back that he called the Waynes Worlds to honor rapper Lil Wayne. A customer named Candaice asked Ripp to reprise the Waynes World design with a few modifications. The Waynes World 2 Air Force Ones look as great as the first pair but add a little bit of flavor for a unique pair of shoes.

The Waynes World Air Force Ones were black/white shoes that had “I Am Hip Hop” written on the toe boxes and an image of the rapper on the side. Ripp recreated this design masterfully but sprinkled some red stars on all sides for a touch of color. The designer also made Lil Wayne’s picture a little bit bigger to make the rapper more prominent on the Waynes World 2 AF1s.

Ripp said that these sneakers took two weeks to finish because he is bogged down by a flood of custom orders. He has become a popular designer due to his great designs, quick turnaround and skill with the paint brush. You can order your own customs from Ripp by emailing him today at [email protected].

  • Air Jordan 2009 – Carmelo Anthony – PE
By on March 17th, 2009 | No Comments Comments

Carmelo Anthony is bright and shining brighter each day. Nike has created this energetic pair for him with the cool colorways paying tribute to the Denver Nuggets’ home university.

Nike is known for harmony and power, and there’s nothing to make us question their reputation here. The attention given to the aerodynamic design would be just as successful in an airplane body, and with such giants in its cadre, and the Air Jordan brand to live up to, we cannot expect anything less from Nike.

Leaping, running, jumping with these Nikes on the field or road should be like skating on the thin surface of a frozen lake. They look so light and effective, and on some nimble feet they are ready to do wonders.  You’re strongly advised to get your hands on these if you can, but be quick, because as PE’s these will only be found at a very few select resellers.Via TREPEL//NikeTalk

  • Nike Foamposite Lite Kryptonate – Release Version
By on March 17th, 2009 | No Comments Comments

Mmmm…maybe Nike stole the Green Goblin’s shoes to design this spectacular item? It has a magical, ethereal feel to it, and rightly deserves the brand Kryptonate.

The pair has a dreamy and fantastic quality to it, accentuated in the coloring, the curved sole, and the general air of the style. Shall we say much about how striking they will look among the countless other shoes on the street which will seem bland and banal in comparison? Sadly you’ve got to travel to Harlem to catch a grope of these imaginative and beautiful items which in some ways look like jewelry than shoes.

One thing is sure: if you’ve any chances on laying your hands on this spectacular sample of courage and innovation from Nike, don’t waste it. You’re unlikely to get another pair, or another chance of getting it.
