  • Air Jordan V (5) – White Patent – Dark Army – Del Sol
By on March 20th, 2009 | No Comments Comments

You cannot make an elephant dance in the air, unless of course, it’s wearing an Air Jordan. These pairs from Nike are swift and powerful in a seemingly magical manner. But we know these guys, and we know that if there are any designers capable of the impossible anywhere, they are prone to be working at Nike.

With a difficult blend of colors discerningly applied with love and care, a strong and serious design characterizing success and perseverance is achieved with striking efficiency. The dark army green midsole features a white sharktooth added to the yellow sole segments, which all make us wonder how hard the bite of the owner will be when facing his competitors. With such a statement, it’s bound to be painful.

We’re told that this Nike will be available at retailers later this year, and we will update you as soon as we get the news. View More Photos/Info

  • Old School Megatron Air Force Ones
By on March 20th, 2009 | No Comments Comments

Sole Junkie Customs gives us a blast from the past with the Old School Megatron Air Force Ones. These custom Air Force Ones use Megatron, the leader of the Decepticons, as the centerpiece for some 1980s nostalgia. I found these photos at Sole Junkie’s Customsnkr.com blog linked here.

The designer recreated Megatron in various poses on both exterior sides as well as the left interior side. The right exterior side shows Megatron with his gun-arm at rest while the left exterior shows the villainous robot in action. The blank right interior is a close image of Megatron’s metallic body, a patchwork of silver panels built to handle laser blasts.

As a fan of Transformers, I loved the Old School Megatron Air Force Ones. Sole Junkie’s depiction of Megatron is spot-on down to the smallest details including the Decepticon logo. You can reach the designer at [email protected] if you want your favorite cartoons celebrated through sneaker art.

By on March 20th, 2009 | No Comments Comments

Patriots, it’s time to unite and storm the shops. These days fear and gloom brood on the US like a mighty black cloud, and Reebok seems to have devised a timely and proper tool for the fight against pessimism and fear. There’s never been a time when sincere patriotism was in greater need, and these shoes are perfect for those who would like to make a simple but sincere statement about their devotion to the country.

White soles, red midsoles, and blue patent leather emblazoned with white stars bring the star-spangled banner to the mind, and the heavy and mighty design of these shoes appear to tell us that, though down, the US is not to be counted out so easily.

The Reebok Stars Pack has a Pump Omni Lite and an Insta Pump Fury. Do not restrain your fury against politicians and corporate gluttons, shout out your View More Photos/Info

  • Nike Air Force II High – Nintendo Wii
By on March 20th, 2009 | No Comments Comments

This is the first pair from Nike’s Wii pack to arrive at the stores and it is a very good start to the series. As we had mentioned before, Nike’s well aware that these items must be superior footwear above all, with the Wii theme adding excitement and richness to the conception.

The most interesting feature of the design is the ostrich leather framed translucent side panel. Ostrich leather is an interesting choice and adds an air of exclusivity to this Nike. It looks strong and sturdy, perhaps symbolizing the love of Nintendo’s fans for the gaming platform.

Above all, this is a fine and worthy debut for Nike’s Wii Pack. It is expected to be available at retailers like Shelter in some relatively short time.
