D@ Prince Customs began creating the third version of his Chapel Hill Air Force Ones as March Madness descended on America. The release of the Chapel Hill AF1s through D@ Prince’s Nike Talk post linked here coincided with the University of North Carolina’s victory in the NCAA Championship on Monday. This recent creation by D@ Prince builds off the colors, themes and design elements of the previous two version without acting as an exact copy.

The base color for the Chapel Hill AF1s is Tarheel blue with white stitching. The left shoe depicts UNC mascot Rameses in his old-school form next to “Carolina” painted above the midsole. The right shoe features “North Carolina” above the midsole with a modern depiction of Rameses without the sailor’s cap. D@ Prince contrasted the old and the new while celebrating the historical success of Tar Heels basketball.
