    Gil II Zero

Leave it to Gilbert Arenas to come up with a brilliant marketing idea. Arenas, who has a amazingly popular blog on NBA.com, is coming out with 20 different versions of his Adidas Gil II Zero kicks.

Most of these will be limited edition shoes and all of them will have their own story. Check out his blog for more information on each shoe and the corresponding release dates. The shoe in the above picture is just one of the 20 different versions that will be released.

With the black, gold and clear plastic, these kicks are hot. Adidas is going out on a limb with Arenas’ idea but this could be a smashing hit for the upcoming year. If it works for Adidas and Arenas, this would be great news for sneakerheads because it could mean multiple releases for each player shoe in the future.

  • Surface 2 Air Fall/Winter Collection 2007.

    Surface 2 Air Fall / Winter 2007 shoe 1

Surface 2 Air is from Paris but never say Paris is always gay and unaware of sobriety.Surface 2 Air is showing a serious side of Paris by unveiling its latest Fall and Winter 2007 collection.Whereas other high end brands have played havoc with autumn colors, Surface 2 Air chooses to stand apart from the gaily stamping crowd with its black, white and grey collection. The logo is embroidered or sewn into the shoes quietly to blend in but its garland of leaves signify much dignity. The cross bones shout for attention and indeed, this Surface 2 Air collection is a serious one.

I think that the sparse details on the shoe make it a good choice as a shoe with multiple functions. It can serve as footwear for formal office attire and yet carry the wearer forwards after work. This will save the need for a change of shoes.I like all the designs except the one with the letter print. I know that the feet move forwards first and foremost but the loud and gaudy lettering is running ahead a bit too fast for me.However, this depends on the personality and one person’s hate may be another person’s love.

  • Nike X Supreme Air Trainer TW II: Comfort with a Bit of Style
By on September 22nd, 2007 | No Comments Comments

    nikexsupremetrainer.jpg

The upcoming release of the Nike X Supreme Air Trainer TW II should please anyone in need of a reliable pair of cross trainers. The Air Trainer TW II will come in four colorways shown above including a subtle cardinal color and a pair of simple white trainers. You can buy all four to add some patriotism to your workout and mix in the cool look of black when you do not necessarily want to be noticed at the gym.

These shoes are tentatively scheduled for release in October and they should hang with other Nike cross trainers in terms of price. The trend by Nike and others to add a little something to the sole is continued with the Supreme Air Trainer with the word “Supreme” split between both shoes. You can look good, feel good and make others see how good you are in these shoes.

One part of the shoe that catches my attention for all the wrong reasons is the Velcro strap at the first set of eyelets. I have never been a big fan of Velcro on shoes for anyone over the age of seven or under the age of 70 but everyone has their own preference. This blemish on the Supreme Air Trainer TW II by Nike is minor but I would resent having to strap up the Velcro every time I went for a workout.
