The Cincinnati Bengals may be having a down year but one of the most electrifying players in the NFL is Chad Johnson. The Ocho Cinco as he dubbed himself last year has brought the Bengals black and orange back into style. At least one custom sneaker designer has found inspiration from Johnson’s surge into the upper tier of NFL receivers. The Air Force Ones shown above are painted as homage to the Bengals of Palmer, Johnson and Marvin Lewis.

The left shoe features the upper half of the Bengal face, a fearsome looking beast that lines the walls of Paul Brown Stadium. I really enjoy this part of the shoe as it encapsulates the past successes of the Bengals (except for the 15 years between the prime periods of Boomer Esiason and Carson Palmer) through a simple symbol. The right shoe has a partially black background with a Bengal themed letter B. This part of the shoe seems to be a bit bland though I think it serves a purpose when compared to the complexities of the left shoe.

I would grab these customs if I were a big time Bengals fan. The comfort of the Air Force Ones is combined with a unique color scheme in the pictures above and below. I cannot wait until someone puts together some quality customs of my favorite team, the Green Bay Packers.

Atmos has teamed up with New Balance and Porter in a three-way collaboration to create the Buffalo Check Collection.

This interesting collection features two editions of the New Balance 574, plus two different Porter bags. The 574’s are made with a combination of colored checked plaid fabric (which also makes up the Porter bags), along with a textured suede.

Both shoes feature purple plaid on the toe box, red plaid on the rear side panels, yellow plaid on the tongue and green plaid on the “N” logo. The difference between the shoes comes in the color of the suede.

The black suede version is complemented with neon green inside, while the brown suede version is accented with aqua instead. These shoes are pretty wild looking, but definitely unique.

The two Porter bags in the pack are the Porter Day, which is a backpack, and the Porter Drum Bag, which is a duffle bag. Both bags are made with all four colors of checked fabric which are used in the shoes.

The sneakers are 13,440 yen (~$123 USD), while the bags are 16,590 yen (~$152 USD). You can get them all at Atmos-Toyko.

The Nike Super Blazer Hi Premium has been released a new colorway that features white leather contrasted by a black reptile-embossed Swoosh.These shoes have a old school look with modern appeal.

These light-weight sneakers have been updated with a Free technology sole. They are known for their comfort as well as their style. Blazers are some of my favorite styles of Nike shoes because of their simplicity. So I’m really fond of this new edition.
