  • Snake Skin Nikes by Hypethetic

The shoe designer Hypethetic has taken Nike customs to a whole new place with the customs pictured above. These one-of-a-kind Nikes are covered in real snake skin leather from Spain. The snake skin is cool enough on its own but Hypethetic took it one step further with a black/white dragon design on the toe box and behind the swoosh. The snake skin is arranged on the shoe to look like dragon scales (atleast what dragon scales would probably look like if dragons existed).

I am impressed by the execution of using a difficult material like snake skin as well as the clarity of the dragon designs on both shoes. These shoes were designed for graffiti artist Antz and I am sure that he is feeling pretty powerful with his dragon-inspired customs.

    Air Jordan Oo’Wee

The Air Jordan Oo’Wee is the lastest model from the Jordan Brand. This shoe is the perfect cross training shoe for those who love to run, play ball, workout or just about anything else. The Oo’Wee has been designed and tested for optimal comfort and performance on all surfaces.

Many colorways will be released and here’s a couple that are out right now. The Black/Metallic Silver color combination is very simple and is available right now at Nike.com for just $100. A more interesting colorway is the Black/White/University Blue which is pictured after the jump. This sneaker features featuring a speckled mid-sole and laces, which I really like.

Many more colorways of the Oo’Wee will be releasing in upcoming months. They are a relatively inexpensive cross trainer that is stylish and performs well. Check them out a Nike.com or Nike retailers near you.

  • Vans x Addict Sk8-Hi – customized shoe.

    Vans x Addict Sk8-Hipic 1

This was a custom Vans Sk8-Hi with Addict artwork. This design was created by SheOne, who was one of the artists working for Addict.

This Sk8-Hi had a white canvas/Bordeaux suede upper with many nice details. The overall design was outlined in white thread stitching to give it a distinguished look. The custom shoe maker, Hush, was responsible for transferring the shoe design onto the shoe, following the guidelines laid down by SheOne.

Addict has included its label tag on the shoe upper. The abstract art design on the white canvas looked cool. It was so abstract that it could be anything you imagined it to be. I think the artwork looked like strokes of paint applied by a brush.

The heel of the shoe has a neat section of artwork too. The colors here were carefully chosen to blend with the colors on the heel – red and black. The red design looked like a cylinder and the black lines looked like fumes steaming from the sides of the cylinder.

There was another special feature on the back sole. Just above the bottom, The Vans’ logo is prominently painted on.

The best feature of this shoe is that from the front view, it looked like a red shoe. From the side view, it looked very different with the fantastic abstract art work. This is the best reason why I like this shoe.
