The resurgence of the Adidas Conductor Hi is nothing short of a miracle considering the state of basketball shoes. The traditional hi-top has given way to sneakers that focus on flash rather than ankle support. Adidas has put out the Conductor Hi again in honor of the 1988 Seoul Olympics.

Adidas left the Conductor Hi relatively unscathed which may not appeal to this generation of basketball player. The simple black/white color may be ideal for certain teams but I can’t imagine too many players opting for these Adidas over a more colorful pair of shoes. The lone act of creative license taken by Adidas is the logo of the Seoul Olympics, a yellow/red/blue pinwheel that stands out from the plain white heel.

I am not a huge fan of the Conductor His but I know there will be a following based on the retro trend in sneakers. Players who are concerned about the shoe’s appearance should know that Patrick Ewing wore them at the beginning of his career.

The Adidas Superstar Sleek was relaunced this fall/winter in a very feminine, fashionable collection. Here this white/black colorway above defines sporty sophistication. The slick patent leather stripe and heel cap look great against the stark white shoe.

These shoes are just one of several models of Adidas for women that have recently been released at The Overkill Shop.

Another version of the Superstar Sleek features pastel colored print (like on designer handbags) on a white shoe. This sneaker also has metallic gold detailing on the heel cap.

A different shoe in the Sleek collection is the Adidas Pro Model Sleek in black/white. This shoe features a black leather upper with white, shiny stripes. This old school model is sure to please. This one is my favorite shoe in the pack.

Two other shoes are also available in the Adidas Sleek collection for women at the Overkill shop right now. The Gazelle Sleek, in a hot red colorway, and the Stan Smith Sleek, which is a brown shoe with an allover embossed print and touches of turquoise trim.

The Puma Flipper St Valentine seems to be a wonderfully romantic shoe that can be used for Valentine’s Day and thereafter. The hand drawn flowers are beautiful and versatile for use in a variety of occasions. Flowers have a general theme and present a refreshing look. I would use this as a dress sneaker. A red, white or red-white dress would be suitable to wear with this. I would prefer a plain dress because the flowers would get the full attention as they are eye-catching and the clothing should not be too gaudy as it would clash with this striking shoe.

The Puma Emergency Pack has 2 Puma RS 100’s. The colors are in neon red and neon yellow. The Puma reflective strip is outlined with reflective 3M. These sneakers are good for night wear. They reflect off light and contribute to the safety of the wearer. Pedestrians and cyclists can benefit by wearing these shoes. These 2 colors share similar features and they have the logo of a bolt of thunder, enclosed within a triangle. This represents a traffic sign. I would guess that it means that the shoe is electrifying. I prefer the neon orange as I think orange would blend with more colors in my choices of clothing.
