Gravis Footwear has released a new shoe called the Fulton for the Spring 2008 season. The Fulton is a mid-top casual shoe with premium leather that looks like a good fit for anyone in need of a durable daily shoe. Gravis provides the Fulton in three colorways with the coffee/chocolate colorway above and the sand/cream colorway picture after this post. The cobalt/coffee colorway is not shown here because it is similar to the coffee/chocolate with the exception of blue soles.

I really like the Gravis Fulton and am considering a pair of coffee/chocolate as I get some new shoes. The Fulton reminds me of a pair of Airwalk mid-tops that I owned a few years ago. I am sure that Gravis Footwear has perfected this earlier design with more comfortable insoles and arch support. I have been negative in my last few posts but I am heartened by the new shoes put out by Gravis Footwear.

  • Adidas Consortium for April 2008

    Adidas Consortium for April 2008

Four new colorways in the Adidas Consortium series will drop in April. These shoes include a a ZX450, ZX7000, Campus Vintage and the Nizza Blue.

The ZX’s use some interesting color combinations in somewhat muted tones, while the Campus Vintage and the Nizza Blue are much more vibrant. The Campus Vintage features a pink, blue and yellow woven upper, which is contrasted with stark black stripes and heel tab. These shoes will certainly turn some heads with their unique look.

My favorite shoe of the four is actually the Nizza Blue, which features a striped upper in great hues of purple, yellow and other colors. The gold metallic stripes are a great touch.

Look for these sneakers in April at the finer Adidas retailers worldwide.Via HighSnobiety.

  • Nike “Convertible” Dunk
By on March 3rd, 2008 | No Comments Comments

This is a new concept. The shoe  is a convertible.  It was developed as part of Nike’s Considered line. The materials used are environmentally friendly. It uses a flap on the heel. You can wear the shoe with the flap up and it looks like a normal sneaker. When the flap is down, it is a slip-on sandal.  This shoe is a prototype. It is not known if Nike would actually manufacture this in bulk for sale to the public.

I think the convertible shoe would be very popular. People who want to wear sandals and be relaxed would appreciate this convertible when they walk to venues that require the use of formal dress codes and shoes. It is very convenient to lift up the flap and the sandal gets changed into respectable shoes.

I like the cool colors of grey/blue/green. These are mild and neutral colors and they match any color of clothing.

Since shoes are a necessity and they get worn very often, buying shoes that are environmentally friendly would be extremely helpful. You can just imagine the millions of tons of wasted shoes being dumped every year that are not biodegradable. If everybody uses biodegradable and environmentally friendly shoes, they would help to save the earth.
