As the 2008 Beijing Olympics approaches, Nike will release yet more Olympic-inspired sneakers to capitalize on the opportunity. The Nike Beijing Summer Olympics 2008 Mascot Pack pays tribute to the Fuwa, mascots of the Beijing Olympics. The pack comes in five different designs representing“Bei Bei” the blue fish, “Jing Jing” the black panda, “Huan Huan” the red Olympic flame, “Ying Ying” the yellow Tibetian antelope and “Ni Ni” the green swallow. Their names, when pronounced out loud, means “Beijing welcomes you.”

The pack includes the Vandals Lows, Dunk Lows, Blazer Lows, and Cortez 07. They are already available for advanced order at Kix-Files in Grade School sizes.

This is a new Nike AJF 20 Low. It will be released later in Nov. 2008 and sold at Vagant. The sneaker is made out of premium suede and leather.

The toe box is suede.There are horizontal lines on the suede. The mudguard is made from black leather. The two panels that contain the shoe lace holes are made from the same suede. At the tip of the tongue, there is a logo of the Nike figure, done in white color. The inner lining is black and has another logo.

The heel has an inverted triangle with shiny strips of leather. This special covering is attached over the background layer of suede. From the side view of the sneaker, these strips stand out and look unusual. Along both sides of the triangle, there are panels of rectangle shaped leather that are embossed with the numbers 456 and 20. The embossing looks decorative.

The outstanding feature would be the midsection with a panel of brown colored graphics. The rest of the midsection is premium leather and the quality of the premium leather really shows. The midsole is half black and half white. A small section of the black midsole is covered with tiny studs.

To celebrate the Olympic events in China, Nike was encouraged by the Chinese Qi Xi (The Night Of Sevens) festival and made a pack with a Court Force Premium Hi and Low and a Air Max 1 Premium. This special pack is now available at Atmos. [HighSnobiety]

Nike has made another Pantone Mix pack using the four colors on 4 different models including a mens Court Force High and Low and womens Air Max 1 and Blazer Mid. Kix-Files is now accepting pre-orders. [HighSnobiety]

Nike will release a hybrid based on Penny Hardaway’s signature shoe line. The hybird features many traits from the Air Foamposite as well as other shoes from his line. This hybrid will be available March 2009 for $190. [ShoeGame]

Sneaker News just created a safety orange and white Nike Dunk High. It features an orange side panel, swoosh, upper heel, and toe box, an upper in white, a “Repeat Laser iD”, and most importantly a “SNEAKER NEWS” lasered on the side panels. [SneakerNews]
