  • Nike SB Dunk High “Marge Simpson”
By on July 6th, 2008 | No Comments Comments

    here

Following the release of the widely sought after Nike SB Dunk Low “Homers”, Nike will release the Nike SB Dunk High “Marge Simpson.” The shoes feature a yellow base, blue accents, and a light-green Nike swoosh. Nike will try to capitalize on the success of the Homers with these follow-up Simpsons shoes, but ultimately, the Homers are much simpler and nicer. The color scheme of the Marge is not easy on the eyes.

Already released at a Nike SB retailer in Singapore, there is no news confirming a US release. What sneaker-heads and Simpsons fans alike will definitely want is a Bart Simpson Nike SB Dunk Low release. Let’s hope Nike answers are prayers.

    Nike Hyperdunk - Dark Obsidian - #1

More and more colorways of the Hyperdunk have been rolling out, as these Nike shoes start gaining popularity.

This version features a Dark Obsidian/White-University Blue color scheme, which is one of the better ones.

This edition of the Hyperdunk has just hit retailers in China and is available now on eBay. I like the combination of the bright University Blue against the dark upper. You can “Buy It Now” from Kixpress for $135.

In case you don’t know the scoop on the Hyperdunk, it’s Nike’s lightest and strongest basketball shoe ever made. The Hyperdunk combines two new Nike innovations: Flywire technology and Lunarlite foam. Flywire redefines footwear construction, shaving off weight and adding strength, allowing athletes to be lighter on their feet and faster on the track and on the court. Lunarlite foam features a unique cell structure making it lightweight and ultra responsive as a cushioning system. Via Sneaker News.

  • Nike Dunk Fester from Sekure D
By on July 5th, 2008 | No Comments Comments

We are in the midst of the Fourth of July weekend but Sekure D is thinking ahead to the fall season. The designer’s latest project is called the Fester and celebrates the beautiful leaves hitting lawns and parks throughout the country each fall. Sekure D used a pair of low top Nike Dunks to celebrate the season that brings us football, Halloween and cooler weather.

There is a mixture of fall and Halloween colors used to complete the Nike Dunk Fester. Sekure D sketched dark orange leaves in various states of flight set against a lighter orange backdrop. Black paint was used on the middle panel, collar and toe box to counteract the brightness of the leaves. The designer kept a crimson red heel tag to match the original Nike lettering on the tongue.

I am a big fan of these sneakers even if I don’t look forward to fall in early July. These shoes are available in size 9 from the Sekure D website linked here.

Nike Air Jordan VII Miro - #1

The Nike Air Jordan VII Miro released at Opium Barcelona this week coinciding with their opening. This shoe pays tribute to the Spanish artist, Joan Miro. Miro, who was born in Montroig, Spain and studied art at the Academy of Francisco Gali in Barcelona, used vivid abstracts to create fabulous pieces of work. Miro developed a unique recognizable style that was famous throughout the artworld.

He painted, sculpted, worked in ceramics, mosaics and murals. Additionally, Miro illustrated over 300 books. He passed away at the age of 90 in 1983.

Using a colorful abstract design against a white and black upper, these shoes are pieces of art themselves. These sneakers will be very limited and only released at a some number of shops worldwide.

If you are look for a bold colorful pair of kicks and like the Air Jordan VII, then these are a good choice. Via High Snobiety.
