With BMX becoming a new event in the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games, Nike is releasing this shoe to celebrate BMX. If you are active in BMX or you enjoy the sport, you can shoe your support by copping a pair of these kicks.

The colorway is red, white and blue and beyond that, there are stars located on the shoes to create an All American look. Multiple shades of blue are utilized and a dark wine red is used on the Nike swoosh. These sneakers are available now at select Nike retailers and ebay sellers, such as Sucreme. Via Sneaker News.

  • TTK Obama Dunks
By on July 9th, 2008 | No Comments Comments

I wrote several months ago about a pair of Nike Air Force Ones that honored front-running Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama. The last few months have changed Senator Obama from the Democratic front runner into the presumptive nominee. TTK has come out with a pair of Nike Dunks that feature images of Barack Obama in various emotional states ahead of the Democratic National Convention.

The left shoe features a portrait of Senator Obama in a pensive state as if he were listening to a Senate colleague or a question during a town hall meeting. Obama’s jovial side is shown in the image placed on the right shoe. TTK added the Obama campaign’s red/white/blue symbol just off the outer edge of each toe box.

I am a huge fan of the blue/black background used by TTK to show the momentum toward an Obama presidency. Readers can get in touch with TTK about the Obama Dunks by heading to the designer’s website linked here.

    Puma Blaze Of Glory 80 - #1

The Puma Blaze Of Glory 80 will launch later this year in two colorways – white/black/pink and pirate black/silver. After the recent success of the Puma x Sneaker Freaker Blaze of Glory, it’s no wonder that they are rolling out more versions of the Blaze of Glory.

Both these colorways feature the arrows printed all over, plus a combination of nubuck and suede. The pirate black/silver version pictured above is prett cool, but the other colorway is just a little too pink for my taste.

Vagant will have these sneakers in late September. Look for more information on these shoes soon. Via High Snobiety.

  • Air Jordan 1 Countdown Package

    here

Last year, a lot of people thought that the Alpha Air Jordan 1 and Omega Air Jordan XXI were the 1/22 Air Jordan Countdown Package. But to the surprise of everyone, JB decided to release another set of 1/22. The shoe that started it all will be high cut in black and white.

The same colorway was released in 1985, but this time, a Jumpman logo will be placed on the heel and tongue of the shoe. These classics will release in September 2008 together with an Air Jordan 22, which have yet to be seen.

  • Nike AJF 20 Black/Stealth-Varsity Red colorway.

    The source of image: here.

This shoe will be sold at Vagant in Dec. 2008.

This Nike AJF 20 has a colorway with black, white, grey and red colors. The toe box is black. The shoe lace is black and the two panels of leather that hold the lace holes have small dashes of white. The mid section has a large portion of white. The arrangement of this looks natural. There is a shoe strap and buckle across the top of the ankle.

The midsole is grey in color. It has a single line of red machine stitches going around the midsole. There is a small patch of dots on the midsole near the heel. This forms an interesting rectangle.

The heel of the sneaker has elaborate designs. The figure of the basketball player is at the top of the heel. Below it are the concentric quarter circles in varying colors. These are sandwiched in between two grey colored rectangular strips. There are engraved numbers on the strips. These two grey colored strips are attached by double lines of stitches. The inner lining of the shoe is red in color.

The outsole is grey colored. It has an interesting arrangement of its tread pattern. There are two red circles at the toe and ball of the foot. I like the shoe upper with the white patch design. It makes the shoe look natural and interesting.
