  • Smooth Tip Air Force Ones

The Air Force Ones shown above were developed by the designer behind Smooth Tip Productions. Smooth Tip’s custom black and purple sneakers were produced awhile ago but they look appropriate for The Joker in this weekend’s big release, The Dark Knight. The designer kept the colors simple while adding intricate layers in black paint.

The wearer can hold these Air Force Ones on an angle underneath a light and find an entirely different shoe. These sneakers are basic black/purple Air Force Ones that are stylish without knocking anyone’s socks off. Every reflection of lamp light off these shoes shows an intricate glossy pattern that can be difficult to see from far away. I like the fact that Smooth Tip did not change the white outsole which breaks up the solid black and purple on the upper portion of these Air Force Ones.

The hallmarks of Smooth Tip’s work are intricacy and exemplary craftsmanship. Smooth Tip Productions has a MySpace page linked here that has pictures of these Air Force Ones as well as other projects.

  • Air Jordan I Retro High – Varsity Red / Dark Army – White

    here

A rather interesting colorway of the Air Jordan I, the Jordans that started it all, has popped up recently. This pair of Jordan I Retro High features varsity read, white and dark army colors. The most striking thing about the shoes is that the positioning of the colors differs greatly from other Jordan 1s. The dark army swoosh also doesn’t match well with the red.

Yet even though the color combination is a bit odd, it is said that the shoes will be a premier model. I guess we’ll have to wait for the shoes to hit the top Air Jordan retailers early next year to see what’s so special about these shoes.

Here’s a cool Nike grade school pack that’s nice for fall. This pack consists of two shoes – an Air Max 90 and a Dunk Low. In a primarily black and white colorway, but it has the unique element of the notebook paper pattern throughout the body of the shoes.

Both models use relatively the same makeup giving the the look of a classic school notebook. If you a looking for new sneakers in grade school sizes, these are an interesting choice. You can get them now at The Darkside Initiative in San Francisco. Via High Snobiety.
