  • Nike x Loopwheeler Blazer Hi

This shoe is released on August 9. Firmament will sell them.

Nike has collaborated with Japan’s fleece specialist, Loopwheeler, to design this Blazer High. The entire shoe upper is in Loopwheeler fleece. The purple Nike Swoosh looks attractive as an accent. The shoe lace holes are set into reinforced black leather. The shoe lace is black and the long row of lacing makes the shoe look good. The tongue is in the same grey color as the rest of the shoe upper. There is a blacked colored Nike tag with a blue colored “Nike” at the tip.

There is another black leather accent and that is at the midsole of the shoe. A short, narrow strip of leather adds one detail to the sneaker. The thick midsole is continued down to the outsole. Both the midsole and outsole are white colored. The outsole has a dense pattern of treads.

The heel has a back tab of black leather and blue colored “Nike.” The central piece of black leather running down the heel is another accent using black leather. One of the shoes in each pair has a small orange colored tag.

I like the clean look of this shoe. The light colored shoe is cool and classy. It would go with many light colored clothing.

Seen being worn by Team Jordan Brand member Carmelo Anthony is this pair of Air Force Jordan 20 White/Navy colorway. The shoes are low-cut and feature the design of the Jordan 20 on the sides. The simple colors blend well together, creating a shoe that is very sleek yet stylish. For those who hated the ankle strap of the Air Jordan 20s, these pairs will be a relief. These are definitely one of the best among the Air Force Jordan fusions that we know can be pretty out there. No information about the release are available as of now so stay tuned.

  • Custom Nike Vandals by Krazy Bear Kicks
    By on August 10th, 2008 | 2 Comments2 Comments Comments

Krazy Bear Kicks created a pair of Nike Vandals for an upcoming display at San Diego’s Milo Shoes and Gallery. This gallery promotes sneaker collections from local, regional and national designers to tourists and shoe aficionados. Readers need to know this background to understand the design elements used by Krazy Bear to create these Nike Vandals.

It was clear that the designer was using these customs as a medium to show off his painting, drawing and composition skills. The gray elephant skin print used on the toe box and heel show Krazy Bear’s preference for simple touches. Flashes of color are displayed with the red flames and electric blue panel beneath the Nike swoosh. This submission by Krazy Bear Kicks goes a long way toward showing the designer’s skills and philosophy on shoe design.

These photos were taken from the Krazy Bear Kicks blog on Customsnkr.com linked here. You can also check out the sneakers featured at Milo by looking at the MySpace page linked here.

    New Balance M1300UK Limited Edition - #1

This limited edition pack of the New Balance M1300UK features three colorways that are nice choices for fall. These shoes combine mesh, suede and a crackle midsole for a unique look.

The three versions include: bordeaux/green, blue/yellow and military green/orange. It’s interesting that they use a neon color trim paired with the more subtle muted base colors.

These shoes will be relased at Mita and other online shops on August 22nd. My favorite pair is the blue because it’s a little more lively than the other two selections. Via High Snobiety.
