  • Project C4 Nike Dunks
By on August 24th, 2008 | No Comments Comments

Chris Hui and imag4ever collaborated in the past on a design project called Project C4. This project featured a set of custom Nike Dunk Lows that showcased the considerable talents of both designers. C2 Customs and imag4ever have returned with the second edition of Project C4 involving two pairs of Nike Dunk Highs.

This first entry in the revived Project C4 is a Nike Dunk High with a toe box and middle panel made from crocodile leather. Chris Hui reconceived the C4 logo so that the top part of the logo looks like the fuse on a stick of dynamite. I enjoy the mixture of camo prints, red leather and black and think that this collaboration will continue to impress sneaker fans in the future.

Fans of C2 Customs, image4ever and the Project C4 Dunks can check out additional information on these sneakers by checking out their recent Nike Talk post linked here.

    Spring Court Fall 2008 Line-Up - #1

With a history dating back to 1936, the Spring Court shoes have been around for a long time. Originally, the shoes were made to give tennis players an advantage on the tennis court. Today, the Spring Court shoes continue their old school look while adding some modern technology and materials.

In this Fall 2008 lineup, you can see a number of different colorways and styles. However, the one thing all the shoes have in common is their simple look. None of the shoes are showy with primarily solid colorways. If you want more looks at theses shoes and find out where to shop, visit the Spring Court website.Via High Snobiety.

  • Nike Air Revaderchi “Fruit Platter”
By on August 23rd, 2008 | No Comments Comments

The Nike Air Revaderchi Fruit Platter is named such because of the wide variety of colors on the shoe. The toe box is very small as it is hemmed in by a mudguard and a toe cap. The black colored toe box has small perforations. At the base of the shoe lace region, there is a panel of bright pink leather, which forms the tongue. This pink panel extends upwards and also forms the collar around the ankle. The mudguard has a pattern of pebbles.

The yellow/ beige colored shoe lace coordinates with the thick midsole, which has the same color. The midsection of the shoe is covered by one mudguard at the front that has the black pebble pattern and another black mudguard at the heel, which has multi-colored specks. This colored mudguard has holes in which a shoe strap has been threaded through. This light blue strap coordinates in color with the pale blue tag at the top of the heel.

The small section at the midsection of the sneaker that is not covered by mudguards is purple in color and made of a shiny material. This shoe rounds up its look by having the lower section of its midsole in black with multi-colored specks. This is a nice looking shoe.

  • Gucci-esque Nike Air Force Ones
By on August 23rd, 2008 | No Comments Comments

Ups-N-Comin has released a new pair of custom Nike Air Force Ones called “Gucci-esque” at the Nike Talk post linked here. The designer feels that custom sneaker artists should be able to transform sneakers into high-end products before they can advance to bigger challenges. The “Gucci-esque” idea has been done by other artists in the past but Ups-N-Comin brings his own flavor to these shoes.

The original Air Force One used by Ups-N-Comin featured a tan/white/blue colorway that is neutral enough for most sneaker fans. Ups-N-Comin added sophisticated touches like golden swooshes and a metal “Ups-N-Comin” tag that would not be out of place on a pair of Gucci sneakers.

I am a fan of the color changes employed by the designer on the “Gucci-esque” Air Force Ones. He switched out the tan for white and the off-white for blue to create a fantastic shoe that would look great in any situation. The design, finishing and overall execution of these Air Force Ones proves that the veteran Ups-N-Comin is at the pinnacle of his ability.
