Here is a detailed look at the Phantom Nike Dunk Low Customs which are fresh out the labs of Sekure D. Their inspiration comes from the comic book character The Phantom. The sneakers features a walker purple and dull grey color-way. The design on the side panel of the shoe consists a very nice abstract looking pattern which utilizes two different shades of grey. The purple and black design is also an abstract design which sort of looks like splashes of black throw on a purple base.

    Adidas Originals 2008 Fall/Winter Clean Pack - #1

Adidas Originals takes a minimalist approach to shoes in their 2008 Fall/Winter “Clean” Pack. The signatures Adidas stripes are no where to be found as these shoes offer a smooth, simple look.

The pack features the Army BW in white and black, along with other popular models. Additionally, there are a “Clean” jackets in several colors. If you like to keep things simple, this look is definitely for you. Via Hypebeast.

  • SlamJam x Nike Air Force 1 “Optical Force”
By on September 17th, 2008 | No Comments Comments

    here.

SlamJam has collaborated with Nike Air Force One to create the special design named Optical Force. SlamJam is an Italian store that picked up the Air Force One and gave it two new colorways. The SlamJam logo is embossed below the Nike logo on the heel tab. The SlamJam and Nike Air Force One “Optical Force” pack will be available for purchase from Sept. 20 at SlamJam Milan.

The yellow colorway looks bright and sunny. The material is wrinkled leather. The toe box has vertical columns of perforations stemming down from the first pair of shoe lace lock. The mudguard is a slightly raised portion that surrounds the toe box. White color is used as an accent. The shoe lace, tag at the tongue, inner lining, Nike swoosh, midsole and outsole are white. The inner lining is padded with mesh material. The shiny look is somewhat subdued by the wrinkled leather so the look is a right mix. The sneaker uses just two colors and the effect gives the shoe a clean look.

The black colorway is identical to the yellow one. I like the black colorway. The black shine is sufficient to show the glossy shine.

  • Pink Thinkers Vans
By on September 17th, 2008 | No Comments Comments

Every college student who has sat through an intro philosophy class can appreciate the theme of Vandalized Kicks’ latest customs. These customized Vans slip-ons feature the likenesses of Jean-Paul Sartre and Friedrich Nietzsche set against pink fabric. I found this picture as well as product information for the Pink Thinkers at the Vandalized Kicks website linked here.

I like the use of captions on both shoes to highlight the fundamental beliefs of both thinkers. Nietzsche is shown on the right shoe saying “Fear is the mother of morality” while Sartre’s famous line “Hell is other people” is painted on the left shoe. If you take a look at pictures of both thinkers near the end of their lives, you will notice that the portraiture is fantastic on the Pink Thinkers.

You can still pick up a pair of the Pink Thinkers if you need a men’s size 9 or women’s size 10.5. Vandalized Kicks has the Pink Thinkers listed at $100 and the great detail explains the premium price.
