  • Nike Air Max 90 Current Seamless – black colorway
By on September 18th, 2008 | No Comments Comments

    here.

Nike comes up with the brand new Air Max 90 Current model and this gets the seamless design treatment. The special distinguishing features of this model are that it uses all suede for the upper, it has no seams and no stitching. The release date is not known yet.

The shoe’s toe box and midsection are perforated. The holes are regular sized and are arranged in patterns that follow the natural flow of the shoe. The different areas of the shoe are marked off by smaller sized perforations. These look like holes for machine stitches, minus the thread. The Nike swoosh is in plain, black leather. The perforations are interrupted where the label of Air Max is embossed on the suede. The shoe’s inner lining and midsole are white in color. They form the interesting accent and contrast to the all black shoe.

From the photograph, it shows that the shape of the upper has been carefully cut to follow the natural structure of the foot. This allows the seamless shoe to be comfortable for the wearer. The black color is good and helps to moderate the look of the sneaker to avoid making it look too loud.

    here

Nike continues its seemingly unending support for Lebron James with these new sneakers, the Zoom Lebron Soldier 3. Two colorways of the shoe that will release during the summer of 2009 has been seen thus far. The shoes will retail for $110. They have a strap on the front and a throwback feature. At this rate, there may be more Lebron sneakers than Jordan’s in the future. Those $90 million it paid for Lebron sure was worth it for Nike.

  • Air Max Malice 90s

TTK is back to prime form with his custom Air Max 90s dubbed Malice. These photos were found at the Nike Talk post linked here and bear the signatures of a great TTK shoe. His eye for creative design along with a deft touch with the paint brush are evident in the Air Max Malice 90s.

The designer wanted to create a representation of the word malice without using obvious symbols and colors. TTK decided to use the neutrality of gray tones to simulate the blinding rage behind acts of malice. He drew out a series of shards and lines with different shades of gray while including small flecks of red paint to complete the malice theme.

I am a big fan of TTK and his work on the Air Max Malice 90s is impressive. His awareness about cliched and stale artistic tools including the use of red to symbolize violence shows his confidence in his own skills. He gives a nod to people looking for blood (red laces and red paint flecks) without sacrificing his artistic preferences.

The shoes in this pack are pack are very similar to the canvas pack released around the same time last year but this years release uses somewhat of a different material. Instead of a regular canvas material they opted to go with a different textured canvas material that almost resembles denim. Look for these to release at select Tier 0 accounts in the upcoming weeks.
