In more Halloween inspired releases, Vans has linked up with CCS to release a package consisting of the Vans No Skool Mid 2, and matching shirt and skateboard deck. The pack was designed by JP Elliot has incorporates a 80’s skate graphics and simple black and green color-way. Now here’s a look at the Terminator High and Low that are part of the pack. The Terminator High comes in dark brown, while the Low comes in an all white colorway. Both these shoes are rather simple and are highlighted by the quilting throughout.

The toe box is quilted. It is quite unusual to find leather in a quilted pattern as the normal material used is fabric. The pattern has stripes of diagonal squares. The mudguard is in plain white leather. The Nike swoosh is short and white. There is an ankle collar which has a quilted pattern. The back tab is in plain white again. The last pair of eyelets for the shoe lace has rings to reinforce and accentuate. The classic colors of black and gold are used to make the borders for the ring of the eyelets. The midsole is thick. The point of interest is the traditional window in the midsole. The inner lining is in light grey. The padding is thick and ensures comfort for the user. The outsole is light grey. The shoe lace is threaded in a dense arrangement and it looks tightly packed in. The black colorway of the same design is also available and all the features are the same.
Evolved Footwear’s love for light-up designs and hip hop have led to some great customs in the past. His latest work is a pair of custom Nike Dunk Highs using Lupe Fiasco’s “Superstar” video as the theme. These custom Dunks were found on Evolved’s latest Nike Talk post linked
Lupe Fiasco’s “Superstar” video features a red carpet, stars and the night sky while the rapper’s song runs. Evolved juggled all of these elements when creating the “Superstar” Dunks. He created a rich red tongue that simulated the type of carpet walked upon by rappers and movie stars. His blue and white stars glow brilliantly against the black backdrop. He added some white stars in the distance along with gray clouds swirling around the toe box.
The “Superstar” Dunk Highs come to life once the designer flicks the light switch. The colorful, well-designed stars burst forth with brilliant light in a dark room. Evolved Footwear did a great job of making these Dunks an homage to Lupe Fiasco’s hit song while using his signature light-up features in a creative way.
