The shoe upper is made of nylon. It has no toe box. A narrow strip of grey suede is at the front of the shoe. This same grey leather material is used for the shoe lace hole panels. The tongue is white nylon. At its tip, bright blue letters spell “Nike.”The entire midsection of the shoe is in white nylon. Near the heel, there are a few lines of machine stitches running down the section. The Nike swoosh is bright blue. The heel has a thick segment of leather again. The shoe upper has a smooth design. It looks very clean cut. The midsole has 3 colors. The center portion is blue colored. The outsole has deep treads. The inner lining is white.

The third and final pair of the Nike SB Brazil Custom Series comes from Nike SB team rider, Cezar Gordo, who used the walkman’s headphones as inspiration for his Dunk Low. The shoe features a nice clean Gray, Yellow, and Light Blue color scheme with a clear outsole that features a headphone wire graphic on the sole. These will be released with a matching t-shirt just like the Fabio Cristiano and Rodrigo Petersen pairs. Just like the other two pairs, these are limited to 480 pairs in the world.

  • Hypethetic Woven Canvas Dunks
By on October 18th, 2008 | No Comments Comments

Hypethetic has been taking deconstruction to a whole new level lately with his custom sneakers. The designer has created a set of custom woven Nikes that show sneaker fans their favorite shoes from different perspectives. The woven canvas Dunks in this post were taken from Hypethetic’s Customsnkr.com blog linked here.

These Dunks were woven together with pieces of beige canvas to create an entirely new Nike sneaker ahead of the Adiartist show. Hypethetic differentiates between beige panels and swooshes with subtle texturing and exquisite design. The beige storm in front of your eyes is broken up with pink insoles and a special Hypethetic tag on the tongue.

I covered Hypethetic’s Sole Obsession tribute a few weeks ago which featured the woven effect on a pair of Adidas Stan Smiths. While I liked the neon green on the Stan Smiths, I think that Hypethetic was more skillful on the woven canvas Dunks. I admire his artistic courage in using a single color to create such a dynamic shoe. I will feature some more of Hypethetic’s woven sneakers in the future but these custom Dunks show the designer’s continued excellence in creating sneaker art.
