  • Nike Air Max 1 Premium – White – Neon Green
By on October 21st, 2008 | No Comments Comments

If Nike has one shoe line that has endured the ages better than any other, it is most like the Air Max series.  The Air Max 1, in particular, has seen the years come and go, and yet remains a true classic in every sense of the word.  This latest colorway is primarily white, with a few nice touches of neon green. Without tampering with the base Air Max 1 silhouette, which  is of course the foundation of this design, Nike has here made a great new take on an old stalwart of the sneaker world.  While most kicks these days are getting darker with the oncoming Fall/Winter season, these Air Maxes definitely bring a nice splash of color with them.

These Packs are called the Nike Holiday Tennis Classic 2008 Packs. These shoes were designed in collaboration with Hiroshi Fujiwara’s Fragment Design. These are inspired by hiking shoes. The packs are sold at Size? Each pair costs about £59.99.

Let us look at the beige colorway. The shoe upper is in nubuck leather. The shoe lace is dark brown and beige in color. The last pair of shoe lace has a hook device to use. The shoe upper is divided into sections by the lines of machine stitches. They provided the design and details for the upper. The midsole is dark brown. The back tab is also dark brown. The collar around the ankle is dark brown. The inner lining is dark brown. The black colorway of this same pack has dark grey and light grey for accents. The light grey midsole is a nice contrast and accent.

The bottom half, or second row of pictures show the suede versions of the shoes. The grey colorway looks good with its gradual tones of grey in its accents. The white Nike swoosh is outstanding. The brown suede shoe has a bright orange Nike swoosh for its accent. The tag at the tongue has a small spot of orange to brighten up the look of the tongue. The packs of nubuck and suede shoes all look attractive.

  • Mickey Mouse Custom Nikes
By on October 20th, 2008 | No Comments Comments

Sol Sircuz created these custom Air Nikes for a young lady nicknamed Baby Bop. The client brought a pair of two-year old Nikes as well as an idea for a Mickey Mouse theme to Sol Sircuz. He took the all-white sneakers and turned them into an homage to one of American entertainment’s iconic figures. You can check out additional customs from Sol Sircuz at his MySpace page linked here.

The Baby Bop nickname was featured prominently throughout the shoe in black paint. Sol Sircuz wrote Baby Bop across the back with black lettering set apart from a red and black background by white shading. The right tongue says Baby Bop while the left tongue says I Love Mickey to show the client’s love of this Disney character.

Sol Sircuz showed his artistic chops by adding some glitz to Mickey’s familiar face. The Mickey face painted on the toe box features rhinestone eyes that glimmer when exposed to light. The designer also used small rhinestones on the Nike swoosh to set this shoe off. Sol Sircuz has showed his skills with the Mickey Mouse Nikes. You can get information on your own customs by emailing [email protected].
