Barneys New York has hooked up with Converse on these cool Chuck Taylor All Star Hi’s.Featuring a perforated patent leather upper, these shoes are a beautiful choice.

These Chuck Taylors come in red, white or black and will be available soon at Barneys stores for $95 a pair. The red pair is my favorite but the black are also interesting because they have a gold tongue. Via Complex.

Nike will release the Blazer Hi Premium and Air Max 97 in Dec. ‘08. These two sneakers are labeled as “Playstation 3 – inspired” because the gradient colorway reminds one of the Playstation 3 Air Max 360’s and the Playstation 3 Nike Air Force 1’s that were released 2 years ago. These two shoes feature black colorways on the shoe uppers. The Nike swooshes have Technicolor in a blend. The heel has a back tab that uses the feature of the colors. The Air Max ’97 is $140 while the Nike Blazer Hi Premium is $90.

The Nike Blazer Hi Premium has a detail above the midsole. A thin, narrow strip has nice colors of blue and pink. The black shoe lace blends into the black upper and it looks very neat. The midsole is black. It is a good looking shoe with accents that brighten up the look.

The Nike Air Max 97 is a great shoe if you like to see the design of the concentric “tracks.” The midsole has windows and they are nice distinguishing marks of the shoe. The outsole has the characteristic deep treads. These two shoes make a great pack and they are suitable for the holiday season too. The colors help to project the festive mood.

 

 

 

 King of Sneaker Custom and the musician Taboo has teamed up together to make the Obama Nike Air Force 1. Obama one of the canidates to run for president has gotten a lot of support not only through his campaign but through sneaker heads! Taboo wore the shirt along with the Obama shoes in the MTV VMA awards which took place recently.

 

 

 

TTK is taking on outgoing President George W. Bush in his latest custom Dunks. The Georgie Poorgie Dunks sound the frustrations of Americans with gas prices and the Iraq War. These photos were found via Sneaker Obsession and TTK customs are available through the designer’s MySpace page linked here.

TTK used the right images to depict the last eight years under the Bush administration. The green background is punctuated by gold dollar signs to represent America’s desire for money. The designer added images of President Bush on both shoes to bring life to these customs. The right shoe version of Bush is carrying a gas can to imply our desire for more oil. The left shoe version of Bush is saying things like “Democrazy” and “CapitOILism” that let viewers know what TTK thinks about the president.

My favorite part of the Georgie Poorgie Dunks is the desert camo print along the toe. This print puts a nice cap on TTK’s message that President Bush has led the country astray. While the presidential election has divided the country between Republicans and Democrats, TTK’s Georgie Poorgie Dunks finds a common ground in frustration over President Bush’s policy. This Saturday, October 25th, the NBA Blazer High Los Angeles Clippers and the rest of the NBA Pack will be released in limited quantities at select Nike retailers including UNDFTD.

Nike seems to always be aware of the latest trends and they incorporate certain styles to keep up with the evolving fashion scene, here’s a look at a unique Air Force 1 that demonstrates this. One of the most noticeable features of this Air Force 1 Premium is the brown and black flannel design appearing in several popular clothing lines for the Winter season. Aside from this the lumberjack pattern, the brown and black combination is carried over the swoosh, toe, lacing area and laces. Release is scheduled for November 1st, 2008.
