This Nike Air Max 1 is nicknamed as the Alabaster/ Dragon because of its colors. This design has alabaster, dragon red, purple and pink. This model costs $120 each. It is sold at Nike stores.

The toe box is cream colored. The mud guard surrounding the shoe is deep purple. The midsection and tongue are pink in color. The pink tongue has a round tag at its tip. The last pair of shoe lace holes is reinforced with a pair of grey colored braces. The collar at the ankle of the shoe is pink and made of a different material. The inner lining is padded with pink color too. The heel is covered in a segment of dragon red and this is the same red used for the Nike swoosh. The midsole is cream colored. There is a small window below the heel of the foot section. The outsole is colourful with segments of purple, pink and dragon red. This shoe looks vibrant because it uses a large portion of pink.

Presently, this Nike Air Max 1 is released as a women’s shoe.It may be made as a men’s shoe release later on. This shoe will attract a lot of attention and turn many heads.

  • Custom Nike Dunks – “Glow In The Dark”
    By on November 2nd, 2008 | 4 Comments4 Comments Comments

Designer ONE20SEVEN has created these interesting Nike Dunks. Using a glow in the dark pair of Dunks as the base ONE20SEVEN added a neon green light strip around the Nike Swoosh to make them glow even more. The light is powered by 2 AA batteries hidden behind the tongue of the shoe with easy button snap access. They dont just light up a solid green neon though, two settings have been added where you can change them from either solid or strobe. They also have a tennis ball fur lining and insole but you cant notice that in the pictures, so just make a note of it. Only 2 pairs have been done, 1 for a customer and another personal pair for ONE20SEVEN himself.

  • Dr. Doom Dunk Highs
By on November 2nd, 2008 | No Comments Comments

Diversitile Custom Clothing was approached by a comic book fan recently who wanted a pair of shoes modeled after Dr. Doom. Dr. Doom is one of my favorite comic book villains because he uses his intelligence instead of brute force to battle the Fantastic Four. I found Diversitile’s Dr. Doom Dunk Highs at the designer’s Customsnkr.com blog linked here.

I was most impressed by Diversitile’s recreation of metal plates and bolts on the toe box and heel. The three-dimensional look and the realistic appearance of shiny metal take advanced skills that few designers possess. Diversitile also does a great job of fading the metallic silver from the heel into a heated orange color at the front end of the Nike swoosh.

Diversitile’s depiction of Dr. Doom varies from a closeup look at the scientist’s masked face to a broader view of Dr. Doom igniting balls of electricity with his hands. As someone who is a big fan of Dr. Doom, I think that Diversitile did justice to this established villain in the Marvel universe. He was able to capture Dr. Doom’s torment as well as his evil genius without writing any words or creating an entire comic book.

  • Custom Nike Air Force Ones – “Paris x Dunkle”
By on November 2nd, 2008 | No Comments Comments

Mache created these Nike Air Force One custom sneakers for ISS member KVN. Mache had done a custom pair of Nike Dunks in the past with a design that included a combination inspired by the Dunkle Dunks and Paris Dunks. Seeing the design and quality Mache had put into the sneakers KVN was convinced he had to have is own pair, just on a pair of Air Force Ones instead. I am always amazed by the work of Mache, you can really sense the love and dedication put into every single pair he does. The designs and color fades are always spot on.
