  • Air Jordan Ol’ School – White/Midnight Navy – Georgetown
By on November 12th, 2008 | No Comments Comments

Jordan Brand’s lineup of non-signature shoes has continuously improved over the years and this year’s newest non-signature Air Jordan shoe to be released is this Air Jordan Ol’ School. This JB shoe takes inspiration from various other Air Jordan shoes and features a big Jordan Wings logo on the heel of the shoe. A simple but classic high cut silhouette is what this Ol’ School is and with great colorways like this Georgetown Hoyas colorway. One of the best features of this pair is the Hoyas Kenta Cloth inspired shoe laces.

  • Nike Dunk Low Winter Animal Pack
By on November 11th, 2008 | No Comments Comments

    here.

The Nike Dunk Low Winter Animal Pack has two shoes. One represents the Polar Bear and the other represents the “Husky” dog. The Husky dog is represented in an all white version. The Polar Bear has a black and white shoe to represent it. This Pack features the use of the Zoom Air insoles.

The Polar Bear model has a rubberized toe to provide extra durability. This rubber is incorporated into the toe box of suede that is surrounded by a mudguard of leather. The black suede and surrounding black leather have differences in color and complement each other. The white shoe lace and white Nike swoosh complement each other. They look bright and refreshing against the otherwise all black shoe upper. The inner lining of the Dunk is black. The midsole is black while the outsole is white. The shoe lace holes are on a different grade of premium leather and so is the segment covering the heel. Some reviewers think that the black and white Polar Bear model beats the Husky model. I like the Polar Bear model in the Nike Dunk Low Winter Animal Pack.

The Husky shoe is all white. The tongue is in canvas. The shoe upper is perforated, except for the Nike swoosh, which is in regular white leather. The white shoe lace and white inner lining make this all white shoe look uniform and classy. The midsole and outsole are white.

  • Fresh Prince of Bel-Air Air Max 90s
By on November 11th, 2008 | No Comments Comments

TWiTCH is back with a pair of Nike Air Max 90s inspired by the 1990s TV hit The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air. The designer has been holding this design close to the vest the last two years as other projects have come and gone. These custom Air Max 90s were worth the wait as TWiTCH brought his best to this project. These Air Max 90s were found on the NikeTalk post linked here.

The muse for TWiTCH’s custom work was the graffiti background behind Will Smith’s mom in the title sequence to the show. Both shoes feature unique graffiti messages taken from the background with impressive accuracy. The back heel features a cartoon font with the words “West” and “Philly” to represent where the Fresh Prince started out.

TWiTCH customized these Air Max 90s further by adding neon green and neon pink laces to the shoes in different pictures. While TWiTCH recognized that these Air Max 90s were pretty bright in his NikeTalk post, I love the brash colors used on these sneakers. Wasn’t Will Smith acting up and showing off in the opening sequence? These Air Max 90s are expertly done and match the tone of TWiTCH’s source material.

  • Nike Air Force 1 Low X Air Huarache
By on November 11th, 2008 | No Comments Comments

Nike has been utilizing the concept of hybrids to its maximum lately and they once again have created a hybrid from two shoes within the brand. This time, the Air Force 1 Low and the Nike Huarache will be put together in order to create a comfortable and clean sneaker. At first look, many sneakerheads’ eyes will go straight to the icy sole which many have deemed as one of the best elements Nike has ever incorporated into their sneakers. In order to increase the comfort level, this hybrid includes Huarache technology which is featured in some of Nike’s best basketball kicks ever. Other key elements of this sneaker are the huarache logo on the tongue and sole, the minor changes to the shape in order to give it a sleeker look, and the use of premium leather throughout the shoe.
