ALIFE Chaser + Shell Toe

In my search for custom sneakers this week, I came across a young sneaker artist named Elizabeth Dias who shows some promise. Dias works under the label Custom Shoes by Bonz and is using her artistic skills to turn simple shoes into sneaker art. After looking through the Custom Shoes by Bonz Facebook page linked here, I was impressed most by the Pow Bam Vans Slip-Ons.

The Pow Bam Vans Slip-Ons focus on the onomatopoetic words associated with explosions. The toe box looks like it was ripped from the classic Batman TV show with a red “Bam” set against an orange cloud and a blue “Pow” emerging from a red cloud. The Pow Bam Vans Slip-Ons also feature a purple stick of dynamite on the right interior and a purple bomb on the left interior side.

Dias completed these customs with a colorful “Boom” on the heel. The designer has only made a few customs thus far but she shows the talent needed to succeed in the sneaker art world.
