In a letter sent to parents and guardians of the Mabank Independent School District (Mabank ISD), Superintendent Brad Koskelin mentioned that face masks and face coverings are required.
In the letter, the Mr. Koskelin said:
“With the start of school around the corner we would like to reiterate a few key components within our planned guidelines. Our full detailed plan can be found on our district website at www.mabankisd.net. ”
He went on to detail issues regarding face masks:
“Our district will be taking the following steps across each of our campuses to mitigate the spread of COVID-19.
- All adults in the building will wear face coverings.
- All students ages 10 and above will be required to face coverings, particularly when they are within six feet of one another, except when participating in activities that cannot be conducted with a face covering on, such as eating, or unless it is not developmentally appropriate for the student to wear a face covering. While it is not required, we encourage students under the age of 10 to wear face coverings as well.
- All Bus Riders, regardless of age, will wear face coverings.
Hope Protective remains committed to assisting the community to deal with these requirements as set by Mabank ISD.
