Russell Westbrook won’t be playing for Team USA in the 2014 FIBA Basketball World Cup, but you can catch a glimpse of the shoe he might have laced up in Spain courtesy of SLAM. Shared by @andytoddcook on Twitter, the latest edition of the magazine features an image of a white, red and blue Air Jordan XX9. The XX9 rendition pictured is the one with the large Jumpman on the side, rather than the alternate pair with elephant print featured throughout. This 3×3 acrylic and aerosol not only depicts the timeless shoe, it also represents the residents of the Windy City that were born and raised Bulls. Placing the silhouette on top of a blue background, the words “Born & Raised” tie the knot between the Air Jordan 1 and the city of Chicago.
