The NBA has provided the platform for many of the greatest sneaker moments in history. For the league’s upcoming 68th Anniversary, they’re putting out a limited edition sneaker with their own logo. Decked out in a patriotic palette with Jerry West’s silo on the tongue, this modern design appears to be performance driven. When it comes to rappers with a deep collection of kicks, Wale has been the man for quite some time. Last year, size? brought back the Nike Air Max 93 in limited fashion in an array of bold blends. While 2014 will see more of the same, it appears some classic colorways are also on the way. In a recent Instagram post, size? teased the tongues of the upcoming Nike Air Max 93 OG Pack, offering a glimpse at both the “Citrus” and “Laser Blue” makeups. While Sneaker Freaker reports that this model is already available for pre-order overseas at atmos, it’s still unknown if or when the Air Max 93 will drop in the US. A stolen $3 million Nike shipment from 2009 was recently recovered from the lawn of a central Kentucky home. Taking the role of a reseller to the next level, a Radcliff resident and her daughter were reportedly selling the thousands of pairs for five dollars a piece, but they allegedly did not steal the shoes themselves. Acquiring the lucrative stock through someone else, the two sneaker resellers had no idea that it were stolen merchandise from five years ago. According to a search warrant filed by Nike security, the crates of shoes were from a Swoosh distribution center in Tennessee and were intended to end up in Texas.
