The Vans LPE “Guate” is the latest in the series of Vans Era that take inspiration from the traditional textiles of Guatemala; Central American cultural influence on America is considerable – chilies, potato, tomato, chocolate, and obviously textiles. The navy canvas on this one sits on the familiar gum sole and has rope laces threaded through metal eyelets.

Today, we get a closer look at the soon-to-release Nike SB Dunk Low QS “Rain.” Donning durable materials for protection from the elements, tumbled black leather flanks the majority of the upper, save for the vamp, which opts for smooth, treated leather with faux-rain droplets set against an iridescent Swoosh. Black SB laces come standard for the sneaker, with white included as a lace swap option. Deep gold provides a change of pace on the inner lining, with a translucent outsole capping things off. Look for these to be available at Premier and other select Nike SB retailers for $98 this Saturday, October 12.

The Desmond silhouette that Clae launched this year has gone down well with brand aficionados and now we have another colorway coming our way. It is Pavement Nubuck and consists of a smooth nubuck upper with oiled leather used for the heel counter. Rugged square leather laces are threaded through tonal metal eyelets. The sneakers rest on a running outsole.

The Puma Suede “Since 68 Pack” celebrates its 45th birthday on October 16th this year. It is one of the most celebrated sneakers of all times and to commemorate the event, the brand will release three sneakers as a pack. Choose from brown, white, and black colors. The tongue, innersole, and heels carry commemorative graphics. Two feature contrast laces whereas the brown suede pair comes with tonal laces.

The Reebok Q96 is a modern take on the Question, without doubt Allen Iverson’s crowning achievement and one of the most iconic sneakers ever. The Q96, which will hit the stores next year, aims to improve upon the classic, at least in terms of materials. The Ultimate Sneaker Expo for 2013, this time, comes to Syosset, NY, 11791. It’s a sneaker convention that sneakerheads look forward to. And in charge of things are DJ Clark Kent and his pals. Apart from kickass kicks on display and for purchase, attendees can enjoy some great music, giveaways, and also participate in online raffles. There are 200 exclusive vendors putting their stuff on display.
