College basketball is back. Midnight Madness events took place around the country over the weekend, bringing with them the return of College Kicks On Court. Although the annual event no longer officially marks the first day of practice (the NCAA changed the rules again and moved up the dates), many schools still used the festivities as a kickoff for the upcoming season. A wide array of sneakers only added to the excitement of the occasion, including past LeBrons, unreleased KDs, and one of Penny Hardaway‘s personal Nike Air Foamposite One PEs, brought out by a fellow Memphis Tiger.

Continuing their long list of collaborations to commemorate the 30th Anniversary, Reebok teams up with Head Porter Plus for the latest rendition of the Reebok Classic Leather. An animalistic vibe is channeled, ponying up horsehair in leopard print fashion for the upper, and also laced with wax black shoe strings. Post-labor day, white makes no appearance on the silhouette, opting for a beige tone on the midsole and leather inner lining. Check for these to drop across the Pacific at Head Porter stores in Japan on October 26.

Taking the uptown in a different and more low-key direction, the Nike Air Force 1 Downtown “Black Suit” steps out. To match its sleeker profile, slick materials are utilized on the upper to the tune of smooth black leather and brushed suede. Furthered subdued with wax black laces, the color code is slightly lightened by a translucent outsole. No calendar date to mark as of yet, so stick around for updates.

After dropping countless saturations of suede, the Ewing 33 Hi is envisioned in violet on the “Purple Suede” colorway. Following the colorways that came before it, a monochromatic theme sets the tone, with the blanks filled in by the go-to accent colors of black and white.
