The Vans Vault Classic Slip-On LX pairs throwback styling with lux composition on the “Leather Palm Leaf” Pack. The Vans Vault x Taka Hayashi – TH Half Cab LX and TH Court Hi LX is yet another round of collaboration between famed Japanese designer Taka Hayashi and Vans; the sneakers chosen for the honor are the Half Cab LX and the Court Hi LX – the former in black and classic blue while the latter gets syrah and classic blue colors. Floral patterns adorn the uppers of each silhouette; the skulls have been thrown in I guess for that Gothic touch. The Half Cab, IMHO, is more of a looker here.

The Batik prints on the midsole are a nice touch. Both models are a suede-and-canvas affair. The Court Hi features flower prints on the quarter panel and on the tongue. Take a look at the images.

The man lived a short but intense life. You should read about it. Nike got it right when they chose to sponsor this man. The sneaker features premium suede (team red) and mesh (grey) on the body. The Swoosh (action red) takes on the shape of the classic pot-bellied one from the old days. The sneaker has been constructed using technology from the day; and back then these were performance running sneakers.
