Release History
1998
In 1988, the Air Jordan 3 “Fire Red” released for the first time. This colorway was one of four OG editions and was one of three that was worn on court in original form by Michael Jordan. The “Fire Red” hue debuted in Air Jordan fashion on this model, making headliner appearances on the next two signature installments.
2007
On March 24, 2007 the Air Jordan 3 “Fire Red” returned after nearly two decades in the vault. The release was welcomed by many Jordan fans, however quality issues and a rise in price to $125 frustrated some. Like other retro 3s of the decade, this pair featured ‘Jumpman Air’ tagging on the heel. Conversely, this pair featured a much darker shade of elephant print than previous AJ3s. These also released on the same day as the first “Flip” 3 colorway.
