The Asics Gel Lyte 3 – Grey / Navy – Red will definitely pass off as an acceptable alternative to Ronnie Fieg’s “Flamingo”. It’s a regulation synthetic leather, mesh, and suede affair but in appealing colors. Red appears in the form of accents, as embroidered branding on the heel, the outline to the logo, and on the outsole.

The 24 Kilates x Saucony Shadow Original “Montaña” is another interesting JV between Saucony and the designers from Spain; brown suede and white represents the snowy mountains on this one. A dual density foam midsole and a rubber outsole give this much vaunted silhouette a sturdy base. “24 Kilates” appears embroidered on the grey toe box. Set for a July 27th release. Will cost £105.00.

Check out the images, what’s your take on the extremely bold 24 Kilates branding? Does it make or mar the sneaker? My take? It could have been a little more discreet so as to allow focus on the superb color blocking.
