Ah! What colors. The Play Cloths x Saucony Shadow 5000 – “Cotton Candy Pack,” if they add some edible essence to these, I might be tempted to chew on a fresh piece. Cotton candy indeed. Play Cloths, the streetwear label, goes to work on the Saucony Shadow 5000, and the result is a delightfully perforated leather-and-suede combination in ‘Dream Blue,’ ‘Coral Almond,’ and ‘Mimosa’. A white midsole and a gum outsole add class to the effect.

The Nike Air Max Premium Tape “Camo” Pack consists of Air Max 90, Air Max 95 and Air Max Classic BW silhouettes; these are done in “tape,” which indicates a more breathable upper. Black and grey camo covers the upper which rests on a white midsole.

Foot Patrol of England weaves some Anglo-French magic along with heritage brand Le Coq Sportif. Together, they give us the Foot Patrol x Le Coq Sportif Éclat ‘Macaron’; inspired by the…macaron, of course.

This is how Footpatrol sees it – After the release of our first collaboration with le coq sportif collaboration in 2012, we were honoured when asked to work together again – we would like to introduce the Footpatrol x le coq sportif Éclat “Macaron Edition”

Our previous collaboration was designed with the intention of being an “easy-to-wear” silhouette using materials comparable to the original 80′s runner. Our second collaboration pays tribute to France’s most famous confectionary creation the Macaron. Known for its’ intricate presentation and elegance, we wanted to take the same approach with our design by creating a “luxury edition”of the Éclat.

Like the Macaron “crisp on the outside and smooth in the middle” our Éclat features a pig-skin suede upper, super soft satin lining with hints of metallic gold running throughout. Inspiration for the colourway was taken from the flamboyant colour palettes of the Macaron, we then mixed in a pinch of 3M before adding the final gum outsole ingredient………………..and voilà!

We like the concept of “crisp on the outside and smooth in the middle” June 1 is D-Day, when the kicks land. Ha! the inadvertent play of words.
