The Supreme x Vans “Power, Corruption & Lies” Pack consists of floral prints. Why? Well, why not? Florals like animal prints have been doing well.

The inspiration and name for the pack come from the album cover art of New Order’s 1983 album Power, Corruption & Lies. Vans Sk8-Hi, Vans Chukka, and Vans Era have been used for this collection — the usual culprits one may say that are most likely to appear in a Vans Pack.

The Sk8-Hi makes use of leather, suede, and canvas, while the other two have a canvas build. And as mentioned, all have a floral appearance.

The adidas Originals Phantom “Electricity” takes forward the legacy of a much-loved silhouette. You’d think electricity would appear blue, but this one is green in color.

£77.00 gets you this runner from the 80s that can still hold its own against modern designs. One of the beauties of old silhouettes is how easily recognizable they are; like this low-cut is. And it is a good buy, for the simple reason that adidas does not come out with that many releases of the Phantom as it probably should.

It’s a suede and mesh creation with distressed leather for that vintage look.

The Vans Slip-On’s are now available in a tie and dye print that the company has chosen to call “Rust Tie Dye”. A tie-and dye should ideally render each pair near unique because of the inherent differences that would invariably appear in each batch. Difficult to control that. Don’t know if these pairs show uniformity in appearance but they are all uniformly priced at £52.00.

The Reebok Freestyle Hi gets three new colorways that together constitute a Spring 2013 collection. These are leather and mesh affairs with a styling reminiscent of the eighties with the collar padding, velcro fasteners, and the high cut.

They are also kind of androgynous if you ask me. Girls can give it a go, too. All three share a white midsole and the “Reebok Reserve” hangtag. Available on sale and can be yours for EUR 97.02.

If you are given a chance to keep an eye out for Under Armour releases, this one will surely enthuse you. It’s the Under Armour Spine Venom running shoes and these are a limited-edition colorway currently on sale for $89.99.

We like what we see of the rubber outsole, the spine effect that looks like it will hold true on all surfaces. Traction matters. 4D foam on the inner sole acts as a cushion. The mesh on the upper helps make these kicks lightweight and allows them to breathe.
