Rick Ross hosted the Reebok Classic Whites event over the weekend at LIV at the Hotel Fontainebleau in Miami to promote the brand’s highly anticipated Whites collection.

The hip-hop fraternity was well-represented and included names such as Meek Mill, Wale, Stalley, Jim Jones, Ace Hood, Cool and Dre, Omarion, super producers The Runners, and even Nike man LeBron James.

The event featured performances by Ross, Ace Hood, Jim Jones, Stalley, Meek Mill, and Omarion.

March 22nd is the big day when the Reebok Whites collection hits the stores.

This is the most exciting news of the day for us. The Sneaker Freaker x New Balance 998 “Tassie Devil” is set for a release. But there’s a catch to it. These are not going to be released in North America.

Here’s what the magazine said –

“As most of you know, our Sneaker Freaker x Tassie Devil NB998s were originally scheduled for release late last year. Due to some last minute production issues, the OG date was pushed back. The good news is that we can now confirm they’ll finally be released this weekend!

The bad news? There are no pairs allocated for retailers in North America. We’re not exactly sure why, but we do have limited pairs in our SNEAKER WEBSHOP, so if you want to make sure you get a pair, check back with us on Saturday.

MARCH 16 – LOCAL RELEASE
Hit up Highs & Lows, Laced, Espionage, Up There and Sure for info.

MARCH 30 – GLOBAL RELEASE
Top tier NB stores in Europe and Asia will release the shoes March 30.”

The Puma Trinomic XT1 Plus was a popular trail runner from the company that first came out in 1990; it was last retroed three years ago. And now it’s back. Dynamic green/grey/orange come together on a mesh and suede upper. There’s more mesh to it, probably to make the kicks lighter. A little more suede wouldn’t have hurt the cause though.

Photos of the Nike SB Dunk Low “Concord” have been around for some time, but it’s only now that we have a concrete release date for the Concord. It’s the 20th of the next month.

White leather and black patent leather have been used on the upper of this  Air Jordan XI-inspired pair of kicks. These rest on a white midsole and translucent outsole. Stay tuned for more information such as the price tag for these sneakers.

The Nike Air Trainer 1.3 Max Breathe “Oregon” brings together three colors that look very arresting together — black, green, and yellow. They look good, like ripe oranges on the tree or the Oz cricket team.

Know what that is? Look it up. Once upon a time, Americans enjoyed the game of cricket. Anyway, those are Oregon Ducks colors, and this Nike Trainer is not the first sneaker to have come up with an Oregon-inspired colorway.

The Reebok Berlin Casual – Leopard follows the arrival of the Berlin Chukka which came last month. This low cut features a faux leopard upper and sits on a white midsole. Would be a nice accompaniment to the animal-print chukka which has more of a camouflage appearance, but then isn’t that what the cat’s coat is meant for.

Reebok positions the Berlin releases as lifestyle sneakers. It will be interesting to see how future releases shape up.
