Ghica Popa is a Romanian artist based in Bucharest. Science fiction has played a major role in his illustrations and after collaborating with big names such as Orange, Nikita Clothing, Boxfresh, Eircom, Windows, Bic, Yahoo, Samsung, and IKEA, he is now working on his Space Sneaker Project. To this project, he brings his penchant for robots, strange buildings, and all things outlandish.

If you take a look at the images, you can see that the artist is partial to Nikes. Either he loves them or Nike silhouettes lend themselves easily to spaceship designs. We think it’s the former. Apparently there are some hidden messages in the sneakers. Take a look at the images; can you detect them?

The Nike Air Max 1 Denim “Midnight Turquoise” brings together two evergreens — the Air Max 1 and Denim. Denim on the AM models is not a rarity but then not very common either. With these “Midnight Turquoise” colored sneakers, Nike introduces the first of this season’s three denim-constructed AM1 sneakers.

These sleek sneakers feature leather on the Swoosh and mesh on the inner lining. A waffle rubber outsole on these lightweight sneakers promises traction. And of course, the visible Air Max units that promise impact protection during all that repetitive jumping. The two other colors to make an appearance are black/volt, and grey/blue.

The Nike Roshe Run FB “Current Blue/Chrome Lime” is all set to be the first of the several spring-themed Roshe Run FB models that the brand is set to release. It’s a two-tone color combination with the front half carrying a lime green color, also repeated on the laces and lace eyelets. The latter half is blue with embossed hexagons creating a honeycomb effect.

These sneakers are available now for $70. Grey appears on the lining and on the Swoosh that appears somewhat unusually on the toe area. The construction sits on a white midsole and an EVA foam sole.

Take a look at the images. There’s a whole lot of folks out there to carry off this style with panache. $70 does it. If you’re a fan of two-tones and woven flyknit, you want to own a pair of these.

This one elicits a nod for the flash of creativity over at Nike and maybe even a chuckle. I mean the Nike SB Zoom Stefan Janoski “Floral Digi-Camo” has three design elements coming together in an almost anything-goes-kind of laissez faire attitude. We have an upper with a floral pattern and a camo effect that is not your regular old-fashioned camo but the pattern in its digital avatar.

These Stefan Janoski professional skateboarding sneakers present a low-cut silhouette. A slim profile tongue, an embroidered Swoosh, and Zoom Air insoles are other features worth mentioning. Black appears as the recurring accent, present on the design, the lining, and the laces. Yours for £65.00. Take a look at the images. We know you’re already playing on your mind the moves you will be executing wearing these!

Stay tuned for information on a U.S release.

Nike Zoom Revis continues its unabated impressive march. Nike probably has a list of Zoom Revis releases chalked out for the next ten years. But at the moment, let us talk about the Nike Zoom Revis “Reflective Silver” which is set for release on the first day of the next month. It’s the 3M technology that actually brings these sneakers to life and it’s only when you have a model in hand or are wearing it that you get a feel of what it’s all about. Images cannot really convey the kick that 3M packs.

The reflective silver is present on the midsole, Nike Swoosh, Flywire, and strap. A translucent midsole gives way to an outsole that has volt traction pods embedded into it. Yours for $130. Take a look at the images, and do comment on what you think these sneakers are about.

The Reebok Inferno “Neon Sign” arrived in the nineties; in fact, it heralded the new decade for Reebok. It is a much-loved colorway that has found favor with many Reebook runners fans. The last time we saw this sneaker make an appearance was in 2009. This time around it comes with another colorway for company, it’s the diametric opposite of the Neon Sign and appears to be predominantly black or navy blue.

These are most likely to be released in time for the school reopening. The Reebok Inferno “Neon Sign” has white, blue, and orange on a white base. The construction rests on a hexalite cushioning platform. Take a look at the images. Tell us what you like about the kicks. There’s a whole lot to like about them, including the soles.
