Stussy teams up with Vans to work on the Sk8-Hi and comes up with a design to commemorate…the Year of the Snake. The love that the sneaker manufacturers have for China, I think it augurs well for Sino-American relationships.

Anyway, lets leave the geopolitical issues aside and come back to the more pressing ones. Like this Stussy x Vans Sk8-Hi ‘Year of the Snake’ is a limited edition creation. It arrives on the 9th of this month.

A snakeskin pattern adorns the upper. The branding is red in color as is the vulcanized rubber outsole. The “snake” theme appears on the tongue branding as well as via the lettering on the heel.

The Converse Kenny Anderson Two, or KA-Two is set for a release some time this year. What’s cool about this one is that it achieves a significant first for Converse by incorporating Nike’s LunarLon technology in the insole.

These sneakers feature a full-suede upper and perforations along the medial side to help the foot breathe. White creates the accents, used for a chevron and the star branding. Tonal laces have been used. The mesh collar is tonal as well. An all-star molded outsole promises good traction.

The adidas Spezial has been around for some time and comes out in a true blue and green zest silhouette that has blue suede all over and green for the special effects. Kind of reminiscent of the Seattle Seahawks uniforms of yore.

The lettering “Spezial” and a trefoil appear in gold on the side. An old school low-cut silhouette that makes for a great pair for all uses. And its only $75. Did we mention that the construction rests on a sturdy dark brown rubber sole?

The Nike SB Dunk High “McRad” celebrates…the punk band McRad that had its time under the sun in the 80s. To be more specific, this Nike offering is a nod to the work of Chuck Treece; the lead singer of the band whose likeness is printed under the insole.

In case, you don’t know this is Black History Month and Nike pitches in with this to join the festivities, spread awareness, and sell some shoes.

The colors chosen are unmistakably “black”, almost stereotypical black you could say. Black, green, red, yellow, and white cover the upper. A good fusion of skateboarding and punk history, these sneakers are now available online.

The Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG “SVSM” is the second addition to the AJ 1 retro high kicks that carry the “Nike Air” logo. These are most likely to hit the stores in the April of 2013.

We’re looking at a Retro High with a green and white base, gold accents and black shoelaces. The good news is that these kicks are only a pair in a long line of Retro High OG that are slated for a 2013 release. Like old times, before the Jumpman came. The lining is beige in color. The leather has a textured feel to it.

Presenting two spanking new editions of the Zoom Revis 1 in two colorways that take inspiration from the New York Knicks and New York Nets basketball teams. The exciting thing about these is that there’s little that we know about them beyond what we can see. No word on the release dates or pricing. Given the rate at which the Zoom Revis 1 is gaining popularity, it is but a given that any new release will stoke us. Like it happens when a Roshe Run is announced.

The Knicks version is covered in orange with exposed flywire and a white midstrap. While the Nets iteration has a black and white color scheme. Take a look at the images. What do you think?
