atmos in Tokyo adds their own flair to the Nike Air Max 1 for their latest collaborative offering. The aggressively designed silhouette features a mix of leopard and camo in various brown tones that extend from the toe to the heel of the sneaker. Gum outsoles bring a sense of the old school to the silhouette, while a soft white midsole brings the entire collection together. Supra has teamed up with L.A-based graffiti artist Retna for a very limited edition release of the brand’s “Society” silhouette. Only 413 pairs of this extra-tall velcro-featuring Society are being released and each pair will be numbered. The sneakers go on sale on February 9th, 2013.

Red and blue Jersey mesh accents cover an otherwise black and white creation. And if you look carefully, you will detect SUPRA written on the upper in Retna’s unique hieroglyphic style. For those that may not be aware, Retna is a no mean artist whose art has been described as  “Simultaneously conceptual, literal, and abstract … Retna’s work contains imagery and histories that are vast and diverse. The symbols and pictographs of his signature script are inlaid with his multicultural background of El Salvadorian, Cherokee, Spaniard, Pipil, and African-American lineage.”

The New Balance M576CD Cordovan were limited edition sneakers that were made in the USA for sale in the Land of the Rising Sun, Nippon, aka Japan.
