Last month when Jordan Brand announced the Air Jordan XX8, we knew it would be the catalyst for other silhouettes in the coming years, but none of us thought it would be this quick. Last night, Michael Crabtree took to the field in a pair of Air Jordan XX8-inspired cleats, with the same scholler mesh upper and high ankle as the XX8 for the court. Looking more like a trainer, the model slips in Lunarlon cushioning instead of Zoom Air, but also features a similar external heel counter as the XX8. Finally, the upper is dominated by a velcro strap that hides the asymmetric zipper to complete the dynamic fit.
