adidas Mutombo Upcoming Colorways

adidas is looking back into their archives with the upcoming re-release of the classic adidas Mutombo. Inspired by Dikembe Mutombo’s African heritage and incredible basketball career, the model is seen in a variety of colors, all of which sport a cultural print along the side panel. Originally launched in the early 1990s, the previewed colorways, both new and original, will be a nice addition to any collection. Look for more info as we approach the release of the adidas Mutombo later in 2013.

Sporting the new D Rose logo and spiral SPRINTWEB, this model is designed for the Rose’s return with the city and the championship in mind. “Rooted in Chicago” patchwork tags the lining, inspired by Derrick’s tattoos and the city’s flag. On the heels of the Missoni x Converse Auckland Racer, the two brands have collaborated on a pair of Converse Jack Purcell. The Missoni x Converse Jack Purcell features the familiar zig zag Missoni knit in white, grey, and silver coloring. A bonus distinctive characteristic of this shoe comes in the form of a tonal suede midsole. The shoe was first seen on the runway during the Missoni Men’s Autumn/Winter 2013 showcase earlier this week. Look for this collaborative effort to hit retailers later this year.
