In addition to catching up with Spike Lee at the Air Jordan XX8 launch event, we also discussed a range of sneaker topics with world-renowned designer Tinker Hatfield. It’s always a pleasure to sit down and talk sneakers with someone so passionate about the topic. This time around, Tinker gave us his current and extremely eclectic sneaker rotation (which includes a non-Nike/non-Jordan sneaker) and shared with us his thoughts on the comparisons between the XX8 and the Nike Air Zoom Flight ’98 “The Glove.” He also discussed the difficulties he and Air Jordan XX8 co-designer Josh Heard faced in creating this unique silhouette.
